I've never had a lash lift before but decided to try it after seeing some post online. Nirvana was able to get me in for an appointment the same day. The staff were very polite and the area was very clean and professional. I was pretty nervous about the appointment (didn't realize how uncomfortable I'd be having my eyes closed for so long) but the aesthetician, Paige, was so lovely and great to talk to. I'm so happy with how my lashes turned out! One minor thing that didn't bother me but could potentially bother others is that some of the treatment rooms have windows that see into a hallway of the main building. The windows are darkened but they're not private so someone walking into the building can see you while you're on your appointment. This didn't bother me during the appointment but if privacy is important to you then maybe look into a different salon. read more

I do not recommend this business. I found them on Facebook and had initially booked an appointment for a full set of Lash extensions. I was asked to put a credit card on file to HOLD the appointment. I received an appointment confirmation confirming the appointment and outlining their cancellation policy of 48 hours in advance. I canceled the appointment more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, and the business confirmed this. Instead of releasing the hold to my credit card, she charged me $100 dollars. During my interaction with the business, they did not mention anything of a non-refundable charge until I inquired about the unauthorized charge on my credit card. I have now filed a claim with my credit card company and submitted proof with screenshots that the appointment confirmation outlined the cancellation policy and proof that I followed the policy! They have opened an investigation and credited my money back! This would have been the first time using this business, and this is not how we treat customers. I would understand the charge if I had been a "no show" or last-minute cancellation, but this was not the case! Do not use his business. They are crooks! read more

Amazing skill and services. Relaxing atmosphere as well as convenient location. The owner is kind and generous with her knowledge.

This was my review after my first lash lift: It has been 4 weeks since my lash lift & I still don't need my curler. I will be going back every 8-10 weeks because it is worth every penny. After my 2nd lift, I'm not feeling so happy about it. My eyes were swollen & irritated for 2 days after my apt, my lashes were kinked in all different directions, & now they are falling out. The least they could do is give me a refund for my trauma. read more

I love this place. It's private, quiet :) and my eyebrows look amazing & last a good while after lamination.

Have been doing my lashes and eyebrow waxing here now for over a year and it has always been a great experience. That being said I decided to do the lip blush... semi permanent tinting for the lips. I was a bit scarred because I do not do well with pain but Li made sure to make me comfortable and would pause to check on my pain level. She would then reapply the numbing cream. Yes numbing cream cause without it I don't think I would have move forward with this. So make sure to that it numbs. Otherwise it was a great experience and the outcome fantastic. I am so happy with it cause I hate reapplying lipstick. I recommend it to anyone who may be thinking about this. read more

Good for a quick trip but not on working with clients continually to build a relationship. I chose Nirvana and drive from an hour away. That being said, rescheduling is inevitable for busy moms and when it's not repetitive cancellations, she should be considerate of client's time as we try to be considerate of hers. My situation ended up in a Monday morning request to cancel/reschedule at 650am for an appt set at 10am Tuesday morning. I was still charged the fee without question. I have learned my lesson that 48hrs is unreasonable for me so if it's unreasonable for you, do not book here because there is no flexibility or relationship building. read more

Lai was so very friendly and I loved my brows when I left. My follow up is in a week or so and I'm looking forward to it.

I'm so glad I found this place. Lai is very sweet and professional. Her price is very good too. I had lash lift and tint done. It was done within 30 mins and they looks great. The place has very relaxing feel to it. And parking is very easy to find. Very happy with her service. read more

This place is horrible! If you're not able to show up for a lash appointment they will charge your credit card for the full amount if you had received the service. A horrible job she performed cheap lashes that put on didn't even last long. I highly don't recommend this place they're are rip/off!!!! read more

I went to Nirvana as the ratings were high and I'm new to the area. I was getting married. On that Thursday I had a full set of lashes applied for my wedding costing over $300. I kept them dry, followed after care instructions, and used the cleanser recommended. On the Saturday we departed to our destination. I noted that some were falling out, as to be expected, this was not the first time I've had lashes. By Sunday and Monday most of the lashes had fallen out. By Wednesday, the day of the wedding, I had to apply strip lashes. I reached out to the owner upon return, explaining the situation, and asking for not a full refund but a partial refund due to the product or application perhaps... I had honestly taken good care of them and followed the rules for obvious reasons. The answer was no. They guarantee their application for only 3 days. I'm very disappointed in this business. They could have tried to retain a customer or make it somewhat right considering they grossly overcharge anyways. I don't think a partial refund is unreasonable. This is the second time in my life I've written a review because I'm upset enough to do it. I'd be wary spending that amount and getting poor customer service when there's a problem. I was incredibly unsatisfied with the service and the individual. She was rude and not helpful. She did not explain the process as she was doing it and also when I mentioned discomfort/burning she was dismissive. Felt rushed throughout the entire process. Furthermore would not honor a coupon on her page on Yelp. RIDICULOUS! Update: When I made the appointment I indicated that I would be bringing my toddler. She was on her iPad and was well behaved. How did you babysit? Lies. From the very beginning you had an attitude and was less than helpful. The outcome of the lash lift was a waste of money and time because of the rushed below par service. The Yelp coupon was not honored because of your standoffish demeanor. You stress the use of this site for reviews and offer the same $5 off coupon. I made my appointment through it as well. Furthermore it was honored previously. Never again. read more

Over priced and she doesn't do a good job she's pretty rude . I wouldn't spend my money here better off going somewhere else .

Total lack of professionalism . She takes cancellations too personal. I cancelled an appointment within the allotted time as per her website and she has since refused to see me. I was a loyal client for two years. read more

I have consistently had good experiences at Nirvana. my brow lamination was great and the maintenance has been easy.

Love my lash lift and tint! I had lash extensions for over a year and it was too time consuming and too expensive. I also felt like the look was too "heavy" for my taste, I prefer a bit more natural aesthetic. Lai is great. Salon clean and quiet~ read more

I have been a client for a YEAR and a half and today she tells me she cant do my lashes any longer because of my eye movement. Seriously? Not that I need to explain anything because I think this is absolutely ridiculous, but my mom has been sick and just passed away on Monday. Extremely rude and lack professionalism she displays was so disappointing. SO UNKIND. read more

I have been seeing Lai every two weeks over the last three years. She does an amazingly beautiful job on my lashes. I have received hundreds of compliments on my lashes, hundreds... Lai is a beautiful soul, she is quick to get me off the table and her salon is absolutely gorgeous and inviting. I highly recommend. read more

I just realized that I have been a client for 2 years and I have never once left a review until now! Lai Van at Nirvana Beauty Lounge is the absolute best. From the moment you walk into her spa, you are invited by the most intoxicating, clean smells, soothing music, the spa is always spotless. You have that peace of mind with her, that you're truly being taken care of. She honestly cares for her clients, you are not just another transaction to her. I have unfortunately felt that way at so many other salons. I have gotten several services done with her ranging from body waxing, brows, tinting and I have even bought gift certificates for friends and family to try her services. She is amazing at all of the services she offers and makes even the naturally unpleasant services, as pleasant and painless as they can possibly be. She is a PRO. I tried the tint one time and I was in love. Now it's a regular service that I get done. Now she offers microblading which I will definitively be getting done soon. I can't say enough good things about her, I would come in for my routine brow waxes and tints all the while planning my wedding, we would talk like friends and she was so sweet and just genuine! She made my brows look flawless for my wedding day and continues to do so. If you're wondering if you should give her a shot, DO IT. You absolutely won't regret it. read more

Went here for a Brazilian wax. I have been using European Wax Centers for years, however there are none in Corpus Christi. Thankfully I found Lai and her Nirvana Beauty Lounge thru Yelp. The reservation process was simple, the space is comfortable and inviting, and Lai is amazing. You will not regret booking for wax services. I look forward to trying out some of the other services she offers! read more

Nirvana Beauty Lounge is a hidden gem! The ambiance is serene and peaceful; I often leave feeling refreshed (even when I go for a leg wax!).

worst experience! left in tears she was so passive aggressive, does not know hot to properly communicate with a professional attitude. instead of being calm communicating with a customer when there is an issue she acts very irrational. parking is an issue as well. she can be very sweet util u r late, instead of saying i will not have time to accommodate your appointment i will have to charge you regardless . she will be very upset make faces and make you feel uncomfortable. read more
