    Spicy Tuna Bowl
    Chue V.

I've been wanting to give this place a try for a while ever since they opened up a couple years ago, I just unfortunately didn't have the time. Many of my friends recommended this place and I can say they live up to their reputation. The owners are cool and down to earth and they have an adorable dog outside their food truck trailer. I guess an unofficial mascot. Now for the food I ordered a Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl with Avacado. I was interested in the fact that the bowl comes with mango bits, a different flavor added to the mix. The avacado bits were perfectly ripe and the lettuce adds a refreshing crispness to the overall bowl. They don't skimp out of the tuna and give a hearty amount, and the tuna is of good quality. But my only complaint is the sauce, the sauce is good but I felt that there was too much of it. Overall the food is good and for the price I'd say it is all worth it. I'll have to give them another visit at another time and try their other items!

It was OK. Worth a try sure. Yet, for the zig zagging to get to this place and the gas spent the sushi itself is not anything that you couldn't find at a cub. It's just displayed in a unique manner. Taste is a 3/5.

I had the Mama bowl and Bomb A** Fries. They were really good! They have a mix of cooked and raw bowls. I would definitely eat there again!

This is the first time and it'll be my last! I order the tuna poke bowl and it was so bad! The lettuce and the mango was both rotten, bruised and smushy. The tuna was warm. After paying to add avocado and shrimp tempura my total was $14. Never been so disappointed. Yuck!

Got the sushi tray!! Extremely impressed. The hot Cheetos roll was def my fave. Pretty generous on the meat and spice. It's a must try if you see their food truck anywhere. I know I will have to go back to try the bowls!!!

Should be called ninja rice! All rice, not worth it if it was free. Would give zero stars if it was an option.

We did the edamame, the dumplings, the chicken skewer and the shrimp rolls. All were really delish. Our wait staff was great and everyone stopped by to check on us. All of the rolls we ordered were so fresh and every one was amazing. It is a nice interior with soft music and cozy booths/tables. They brought out a complimentary dessert for my son -which was a fried ice cream in a tempura batter....yum! They also will validate parking if you park in the "Victory ramp". Def recommend!

From the outside the Sakura doesn't look that big but once inside you see it is spacious! I was taken a back on the amount of space they had being a sushi restaurant. I happened to go in between the lunch and dinner rush so I was the only patron in there at the time. The waitress was a nice lady and had some good giggles with her as we chatted a bit. She showed me the upstairs balcony sitting area and I loved how much room there was upstairs. I told her I might have to rent it out for my birthday. The sushi I had was good with fresh quality and expert sushi makers. The menu was fairly extensive. Would recommend in downtown St Paul.

The price was more expensive than the initial buffet, but it was well worth it with the choices that were served. Soft shell crab, frog legs, snow crab, and many more seafood dishes we're served alongside traditional buffet dishes. You can also pick up items from the sushi counter, the hibachi grill, pho station, or dim sum station. You will not be wanting for variety here. Service was very friendly and the staff were very quick to remove plates, trash, and any items to keep the tables nice and clean. Stafford also very friendly and chatty and really brought the experience together. A great way to kick off the year. We will have to make note of this special buffet for years to come. Regardless, this buffet always receives high marks from the locals and has been enjoyed by us when we've come in the past during their non-holiday buffet days.

It's the perfect excuse to eat too much food and try new things. I did not expect to see the lobby filled with people lined up to pay for their meal or to get seated. The Thanksgiving rush seems to be between 5 and 6 PM. I enjoyed trying things like squid salad and fried sushi. The squid salad was a little tough, but tasty. The fried sushi had melty avocado and cream cheese inside. Thanksgiving featured turkey that seemed to be seasoned with ginger, which was a nice change. I was pleasantly surprised by the fried frog legs, and I wish I knew how to get more meat from the fried tilapia with the tongs they provided. The tiny chunk I got was very good. As I hoped, the Chinese restaurant standards like baby bok choy, beef broccoli, and dry-fried beans were pretty good. Thanksgiving dinner had a Black Friday sale vibe about it, with people walking swiftly back to their tables, plates piled high with oysters or crab legs. My spouse thought the oysters smelled fishy so I'm glad I just got one for each of us. Given the busy-ness, the staff kept the buffet area reasonably clean and pleasant to use, but I still ended up with stray seafood stuck on the bottom of my shoe. The staff I interacted with were pleasant and helpful, but I was disappointed that I got no response from the management after asking about the Thanksgiving buffet through their website form on Monday. I thought three days was a decent response window. Like Tokyo itself, there was not much Japanese food at Tokyo 23, but I knew not to expect it. The bathrooms were decorated with images of women dressed in Japanese kimono, but they looked like knockoff copies of Japanese art. I did like the Chinese decorations in the entryway and the kitschy selfie-ready fountain and fiberglass figures.
