I popped in here with my boyfriend for the first time last night for something hot, like ramen. Wow, was I impressed with this menu. I will be back to try everything! I ordered the Tom Yum Goong - hot broth with vegetables with lemongrass. The taste of lemongrass was so fresh! Good portion and very hot. There were a little more mushrooms and not enough tomatoes for my taste but still great nonetheless. I also got Ramen with Pork, which was absolutely delicious.. can't wait to try the seafood! I also got vegetarian spring rolls. They were crispy yet a little too oily for my liking and pretty small for the price. I also got sweet potato fries because they are my favorite. They were def out of the freezer, crinkle cut - nothing special. I've had sweet potato fries from places like this before and they are like thick steak fries .. not here. I would stick to the main entrees. It seems like there is a lot of take out and door dash orders here (I did take out because I had my dog in the car, as always), but I would def recommend eating here. The dining area is very cute. Usually I do uber in my free time. I receive a order in the restaurant and I was like "Oh, looks like a nice spot to come with my family" BAD IDEA, I ask for a beer ramen and sesame chicken. The taste of the chicken was SO BAD!!! Some female worker was talking to higher and she was making mi wife boba, I was getting out of the restroom and when I ask her for de boba she didn't let me finish my answer, She's answer was like "NOT READY!!!" I think they's have to change the customer attention and check the menu. I hope I explain it right (I still learning the language) but yeah, about the soup, the guy didn't told me about the soup base, was a fish soup with beef ramen . My wife is pregnant so she didn't eat it. It's to expensive anf food and customer service is disgustin. read more

But honestly I'd say the pad prik king and chicken satay I just had were barely emblematic of thai food, the prik king was not in any way a coconut curry, which I what I expected. Bad food. The fact that it's name is literally Pad Thai should be a tip off that it's fairly generic. I went in on a Saturday by myself and got seated and served very quickly. There's some pleasant art on the wall, and a TV playing the game show network. That was a fun detail. Ordered some basil chicken, and it came out of the kitchen very quickly. The rice was a little dry, and the dish itself didn't really have that flavor profile I expect from southeast Asian cuisine. Like it wasn't bad, but it's just so generic that I don't really know what to make of this place. It wasn't super expensive so I can't say I wouldn't try it again if I was in the mood. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, let along a Pad Thai restaurant. We spent $60 and It was so delicious, flavorful and fresh and worth it !!! The "Pink King" (2nd from the left in photo) is really spicy. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice were cleaned but not detailed, and I wish they were detailed. The place was clean, freshly remodeled. Staff was pretty attentive. They had Game of Thrones on the TV and a couple of the servers were focused on that. When a nude scene came on, a female waitress (hostess) said something to them and they changed the channel. I ordered the Pad Thai ($12.95) for lunch. I thought being the namesake of the restaurant, it must be good. The description was Pad Thai with shrimp, egg bean sprout... The meal came quickly, was hot, but the portion size was small and kinda lacked flavor and more importantly heat. Very bland. The server told me to put chili oil on the dish, that it brings out the flavor. Still bland. There were 3 medium sized shrimp, noodles and 1" triangles of either tofu or egg marinated in something and fried. There was about a cup and a half of noodles. There were fresh bean sprouts on the side, about 2 tablespoons worth, a tablespoon of chopped peanuts on the side and a 1/4" thick slice of half a lemon. I figure there was at most $0.80 or $0.85 worth of raw ingredients. I didn't take a picture, I wish I would have. I typically don't do reviews and really am reluctant to leave negative ones. I struggled with posting this one. There wasn't a Yelp entry for this business yesterday when I visited, but when I thought about the value of the meal and the taste, I thought people needed to know. I added a picture showing the front from a newspaper article talking about the opening. It's a new business in a tough time so I didn't review it. The waitstaff are not overly friendly, but were very accommodating when making my meal vegetarian and service was incredibly fast. The food here is excellent. I especially recommend the Pahd See Yu; the noodles are silky and not too heavy as I find this dish often is at other restaurants. If you are looking for atmosphere this may not be the place for you, but the food is delicious every time I go. The portions are quite large-- I usually have enough leftovers for lunch the next day-- and in the past I have been given extra appetizers and a free thai tea, which was very kind. read more

Today was my first visit here. It was a decent lunch but not good enough for me to be a return customer. I've enjoyed the other Thai restaurants in town far better. We had the crab Rangoon appetizer, Goong Ta Krai and Drunken Noodle with Beef. The crab Rangoon was mostly cream cheese and didn't have much crab meat. The Goong Ta Krai had too much chili paste that overpowered all the other flavors in the dish. The drunken noodles was the best thing we had. If I were to return here I would order this dish again but stay away from the two previously mentioned dishes. read more

Was looking for some Thai nearby and saw this place. I popped on in and it's a cute little place. Sometimes the random restaurants like this can have the best food. Service was okay, the satay was ok and the pho was less than okay. The noodles were a bit over cooked and the broth had no flavor. The meat was also over cooked so I ended up not even eating the meat. Maybe their curry is better but overall not my favorite place. read more

Doordashed for Pad Thai and on my arrival I asked the waitress about my order and she blew me off, there was a bag on the counter and I asked if it was for whom I was waiting on and she said no and this happened a couple of times and I had asked if my order was soon to be ready, after 5 minutes of waiting, she said yes. Come to find out the food had not even been started and when announcing this to the waitress she shrugged us off and said another 3 to 4 minutes. The restaurant had not more than over 3 tables with people so they weren't busy. I sat there for 10 minutes before we canceled our Doordash order and left. Absolutely LOVE this place! The food is always burning hot when it hits your table so you know it's made fresh to order! The Gai Pahd Nor Mai is my favorite (not too spicy) chicken or beef...can't go wrong with either & the Pahd Wooson is my husband's favorite - he loves the noodles & shrimp that comes with it. As far as appetizers go, we have tried the crab Rangoons, which we thought were delightful! Lots of cream cheese & a hint of the crab taste. (I have read the reviews where they said the couldn't taste the crab -- please tell me one restaurant that you can ACTUALLY see and fully taste crab?!? Honestly! You can't) So WE would recommend the CRAB Rangoons but be advised....no pieces of crab will be falling out!!! We have also tried calamari -- but it's not labeled that on the menu! We love the dish Pad Thai and were excited to see a new Thai/Vietnamese restaurant in Sioux Falls under the same name. We just stopped by. I would rate it 4 stars if it were only rated on the pad thai or fried rice, but there were a couple of negative surprises. The appetizer of the fried spring rolls was tiny and served with what comes out of the bottle of store bought Thai sweet chili sauce. Normally the Vietnamese or Thai dipping sauce would be based on fish sauce, vinegar and sugar with other spices. That was a huge disappointment because of what I expected. They were also tiny. It was an overpriced appetizer. The Thai iced tea was very good. The Pad Thai was good but it seems like we were up charged for adding a protein to each dish. Here be careful, each dish is charged more when you select your protien. I had not read that in the menu. Honestly, three nights ago we ate at Da Kao in Sioux City with 5 people in our group. The total price at Da Kao for 5 was $52 with tip. At Pad Thai with 4 people in our group, the total was $88 with tip. The only thing that was better at Pad Thai was the Thai iced tea. Possibly the worst Thai or Vietnamese restaurant I've eaten at. My girlfriend and I went on their opening weekend. There were a few things wrong with this place. First, they didn't even have Thai Iced Tea which is a staple at Thai restaurants. Second, when I asked my waiter which protein he preferred on my noodle dish he deadpan told me to stay away from the chicken because it's cheap. Not exactly something you want to hear. Third, their white rice was hard and stale. Also, we found a hair in my go's rice bowl. They came back once we were almost done with our meal and gave us free edamame instead of a partial refund. Kind if pointless to offer that at the end of our meal. Now as for the food, I will say its not authentic and only mediocre at best. I ordered red curry the price says $9:50. Then they ask what protein, chicken, beef etc.. I order Chicken. I pick up my order and it is $11.50. They tell me the chicken is an extra $2. I'm like if ordered shrimp you kind understand an up charge. They show me the tiniest blurb of that charge in parentheses. What a scam. Aside from the scam the curry is so so.
