4.5 stars. This place was recommended on Rick steves. We…read morecame for lunch and had the fried pork and clams. 2 of us ordered the same thing, the waitress was good enough to ask us if we were willing to share as it would be cheaper to order a plate for 2. We also ordered olives, bread and butter and shrimps in garlic butter. The olives weren't that great. The shrimps were very good we dipped the bread in the garlic butter. The pork was very tender and braised rather than fried. The clams were small and most of them had fallen out of the shell. The sauce was delicious. They said it's a typical Portuguese dish; I'd highly recommend this dish. The server was very knowledgeable about the wine and asked if you wanted red or white AND sweet or dry. So they were able to give us a wine that catered to our taste. It's located down a small alley I think it's quite popular at dinner and you probably need reservations but lunch we had no problems. As with all Portuguese restaurants they charge for bread, butter, olives; if u see them on the table be sure to say you don't want them; you'll be charged if you eat them. Also be sure to ask for your bill after you get your entrees or ask for the desert menu as they'll disappear for awhile as they feel it's rude to interfere with your meal. My kinda place, off beaten path, hidden gem.

Loved the food and the amazing service. The prices were very reasonable too! Thanks, Carolina, for…read moreyour attentive service.

It's a small restaurant and reviews all said to have a reservation but we lucked out! We loved the set menu experience and especially enjoyed all the unique dishes prepared with local and seasonal ingredients! Each dish was explained in perfect English by our waitress too. The food was incredible, loved everything about this town and our unique and memorable lunch in Évora!

This inconspicuous place is found on a tiny street a few blocks off the main drag. The only way i…read morewas able to find it was Yelp. My companions were a bit dubious as we walked about 8 minutes to get there. We arrived for a late lunch and the waiter said that he could accommodate us only because he had some cancellations. He also said that there was no menu and we would be getting what was served. He also said that the ladies in our group would order the drinks and we would be paying. We doubled down. This is a quant family run restaurant. The chef is the son of the founder and the waiter is his son. They are lovely people with a great sense of humor. It's pointless for me to comment on specific dishes but there were maybe 16 plates. Pro Tip: No, they do not accommodate vegetarians. There was Black Pork(Jamon Iberico dummy) Beef, Veal. Crispy, braised, stewed.... There was a mystery Slider. When we thought they were done, they brought more plates. Oh, and There was a dessert plate with 7-8 Things on it. It was about 55 euro with drinks per person. One of my top 10 dining experiences ever!
