Best sushi outside of Calgary. (and maybe inside too) My only complaint is that they don't have a medium sized Saki bottle.

Fish quality was decent; wasn't expecting good raw fish near the Dinosaur Park!! Serving portions were generous and more importantly the place was clean. Before we left, the cashier gave my son a box of Poki chocolate. Talk about making his day! Weird that the restaurant was on the second floor. Maybe I'm some kind of special stupid, but it took me forever to find the door! And that door led to a stairwell to a nondescript 2nd floor door. Interesting... The staff were super friendly. Technically they were Chinese and not Japanese, but who cares. The food was good. One major suggestion is less rice on the sushi rolls. Not that I'm some low carb freak, but a sushi roll with way too much rice doesn't quite feel right. Great menu and great service. Have been to other sushi restaurants in Calgary and Edmonton that had similar menus and food quality, but paid twice as much! Amazed to have such a great place in a smaller community. The new ramen menu is a great addition. read more

my sushi was delicious and my edamame was good but they have changed the veggies and never adds enough sauce to the chicken fried udon. The carrots are better then peppers . Maybe a new cook? idk but definitely won't be ordering the chicken fried udon again. read more

Another hot spot in Brooks the town might stink to high hell but i'll be damned if this sushi spot is one of the best that i've been too since moving to Alberta. The Seafood is fresh and the sushi is delicious i've eaten here a bunch of times while i've been working in the area and the quality has been top shelf each time.The prices are beyond reasonable, if you have a craving for sushi i highly recommend stopping by. read more

I am giving this resto a four stars in consideration of the size of town & location. We are avid sushi fans and have it at least once a week in our home of Toronto. The restaurant is upstairs and so a bit hidden to this road weary couple. We ordered a spicy tuna roll, chicken teriyaki and sashimi. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, wish I could say I liked the spicy tuna but it was mushy, over "mayoed" and not spicy at all. Chicken teriyaki smelled heavenly but was too salty. Portion sizes were good. Despite the so so food, service was excellent and you can tell this was a hard working family run business. Great place given the choices in the area. read more

Quite good! We had some sushi, udon soup, and vegetable tempura and everything was very good. Fish tasted fresh, soup was flavourful, and the tempura had a good amount of breading to vegetable ratio. The noodles in the soup were a tad gummy, but our 1.5 year old gobbled them up anyway. The stairway and door at the top without a sign seemed a bit sketchy and confusing but once you open the door it's a very nice casual restaurant. read more

I was amazed that the sushi was this good in the middle of rural Alberta. I really enjoyed the food, the resturant was clean and the service was friendly and quick. The sushi was reasonably prices and the portions were great. Will definatley go again the next time I am in the area. read more
