"Nikkei Heritage Museum has been built on the grounds of the Fullerton Arboretum and has been designed along the lines of a packing house. California State University, Fullerton, and the Fullerton Arboretum are working together to open the museum to the public.
The museum highlights the history, development, and impact of agriculture, as well as the contributions of the Japanese American community and the local pioneer families, to the growth of Orange County. This introductory exhibit will be a peek into upcoming planned exhibitions and will be open throughout the summer."
"The Valor of Nikkei Veterans" with members of the much decorated Japanese American 442nd Infantry Regiment & 100th Battalion present.
Nikkei has the meaning of Japanese ethnicity.
All these valiant US veterans are now at least in their late, late 80's so honoring them is imperative. This event will happen on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 1pm-3pm.
