Sorry, I've read reviews stating how good the service is, but I experienced the total opposite to what I've read above.
The mistakes made by the staff were plentiful and the attitude of the management was simply dire.
First a vegetarian on our table was given a dish as a starter and informed it was paneer. After eating it, he realised it was was actually fish, and was rightly upset about this. When this was brought to the attention of the waitress, her response was simply, "it's not my fault" and she really could not care less.
Then another mistake by the staff where they did not give another member of our party the ordered food. Rather than apologise for making ANOTHER mistake, the staff turned round to myself and demanded to know why I had eaten my chicken starter......um......because I ordered it?
Again, no acknowledgement of the mistake and dire service.
The final straw came when, after being in the resturant for over an hour and a half, the staff come out of the kitchen and state some of the mains ordered over an hour ago they had run out of, and I was told to order something else. Arent the staff informed on what they DO and DON'T have left? I mean, that's how a competent restaurant is run, right?
We asked for the manager and it became VERY apparent where the staff bad attitude originated from.
Never before in my life have I had a manager SHOUT at the person complaining, THREATEN to beat him up by saying, and I quote, "throw you out by your head!" His entire manner was very aggresive and again refused to acknowledge he'd done anything wrong.
Simply disgusting.
But, it gets worse.....
Then the chef/owner comes out to calm the situation down and immediately turns a lady in the party, who was informing him as to what the problem was, and informs her, quite loudly, that she was, "as thick as two short planks".
Now her husband was present and luckily i was standing between him and the chef in case the situation turned violent and the chef/manager ended up getting the smack in the mouth they both deserved.
From here the situation got even worse and to be honest, it's too arduous to write about, suffice to say, we cut our losses, and immediately left, giving a partial payment for the starters and drinks, and left with a terrible taste in out mouths.
And before any assumptions are made about rowdy patrons, I do not drink and was thus was sober the entire time and left the restaurant offended and sick.
I'm punjabi, the food was average at best and the the service?
SIMPLY SHOCKING.
Very nice(!) read more
