I have put off writing a review for too long. I have come here twice with somewhat major repair work and have walked away every time grateful for his expertise, knowledge, honesty and very fair rates! I have tried to find a regular mechanic for years as I have a fairly temperamental performance car and everyone wants to charge me insane costs simply due to its "performance" categorization. Not only has Jason been able to pinpoint and repair work faster and cheaper than all other places I have tried, but the work lasts and doesn't break down on me a month later (like Galpin Mazda). The first time, I was convinced it was the spark plugs or intake sensor. Galpin wanted $120 up front just to find the problem, However, I suspect they just go with what you say then quote you parts/labor based on that instead of checking themselves (3 incidents with them like this). Thankfully after a 600+$ quote, I declined and discovered Nightwerks. Not only was the repair cheaper/faster, but he had identified it was NEITHER of those issues that Galpin wanted to fix, it was actually a single bad injector. Been smooth ever since. Second time, front passenger axle was badly damaged. Partially wear and tear, partially road damage received from freeway debris. After a month of sitting at Galpin because they would not keep in contact with me or my insurance for the claim, and then quoting me upwards of $1400 for everything, and having to pay beyond the 30day insurance rental, I finally raged and took my car back, called Jason and he got it fixed in a very reasonable time frame, including new brake pad installs, rotor turning, the axle replacement (notice the pattern of not liking Galpin? haha, I never learn). All at a fraction of the dealers cost! I even asked him if he was sure he charged me enough because it seemed so low! I do not mean to run on and on. But these are my two big repairs that I have not only been extremely happy with, but have been able to pick his brain about my car making me convinced I should stick with him as my main mechanic. I have 2 additional superficial repairs I will need in the near future and plan to use his skills, knowledge and expertise to do so. This all might sound biased, but this is from someone who originally walked into his shop completely blind, and had not been exposed to all the good reviews here at that time. read more

My car doesn't need much, but when it does I always go to Nightwerks. Fast service, and really easy transactions make for a great experience each time I have been here. Most days I have brought in my car for an oil change I have been basically in and out with how fast they get it done. No pressure to add other services, but they are knowledgeable and can easily help recommend what services your car may need in the near future. Even helped prioritize which services were more important for when I was budgeting them. The only drawback, is the parking lot leaves much to be desired. When it gets busy, it can be a tricky endeavor to navigate your way through it. read more

Jason is awesome! Truly an honest mechanic. We've gone to him a couple of times for car issues. His prices are fair and he doesn't try to upsell or give you a list of unnecessary repairs. Other places charge you just to touch the car. (Galpin Mazda charges a minimum of $169 just to look at the car). But Jason will take a look at the problem and give you a free diagnosis and estimate. The only "problem" is that the place can be hard to find. It's in the area near Home Depot with a bunch of other mechanic shops. You can easily drive past it if you're not looking carefully. I currently drive a 00 Lexus GS 300 and was having overheating issues and my car needed to pass smog for registration. I dropped my car off to Nightwerks from Rancho Cucamonga (84 MILES 1 WAY) on Sat 12/20/14. My car was done and smog certified by 12/22/14. That's with the shop being closed on Sunday. I had previously given Jason a 5 star review, because stupidly I thought our car was fixed! It was just a crappy bandage that had been put on the problem hence my updated review here. Nightwerks is the WORST! I thought.....which was so dumb of me, that our BMW actually got fixed there, let alone our truck. AFTER moving to another state and almost ruining our engine because of our car over heating which it wouldn't of done had Jason fixed it the first time, the mechanic who we DO TRUST told us that whoever worked on it before did the shittiest job in the world on it! He couldn't fix our truck so we traded it to him for brake work on our BMW, which I know believe he screwed us over on too. NOT RECOMMENDED!! STAY AWAY HE CAN'T FIX ANYTHING OTHER THAN A SCION. I've been going to the local Toyota dealership for a long time for my maintenance but prices are getting to be very unreasonable. So I finally decided to go on yelp and look for a decent mechanic who specializes in Toyotas. I find Jason's shop w/ great reviews so I call him up to schedule an appointment. He says I don't need an appointment and to just come on down. I tell him that I need an oil change and he fixes my car as soon as I get there. The prices that he charges are great. The type of oil that he uses which is a synthetic blend is waaaaaay cheaper than what the dealership would charge me and they would use regular oil. I also asked how much he charges for brakes and I was shocked that he charges so little compared to other shops in the area. Honest, professional, knowledgeable are the first words that come to mind when describing Jason and Nightwerks. I brought my car in thinking I need new brake pads. Jason checked it out and told me my brakes were fine and fixed the noise without charging me a cent! I would hesitate to call Jason if you are stranded. He assured me that he would go to see my car on Friday, where my brakes failed, give me an estimate and then fix it. I spoke with him first thing in the morning, he said he was on the way. Called an hour later, said he was on the way. Called an hour later, he laughed and said he was definitely going then. Jason did my clutch about a year ago. I was having some trouble shifting (manual transmission) so I brought it back in yesterday. I had already taken it a couple of other places nearer to where I work, but wanted his opinion. Well... he diagnosed the problem with certainty (faulty master cyclinder) whereas the other two guys who looked at it could not make their minds up. He did the replacement and showed me the bad part - one horribly worn master cylinder - so he was right on. Best thing was I took an Uber to pick the car up before his business hours on the off chance he might be there, and he was there because he thought there was a chance I'd come in early!
