Although this is a food tour, the tour guide really made it 5 stars. Many guides would cancel a tour with only two participants but Vanessa was game. She brought passion not only about the food but the city as well. We basically got two tours in one with her showing us around downtown Houston with tons of cool facts about the buildings, history, and seeing tunnels below the city and of course getting to eat at great restaurants. Since it was only myself and my girlfriend, she shaped the tour on the fly to show us different aspects of the city we were interested in. As for the food, we experienced a variety of dishes that were very tasty and unique as well that ranged from authentic Mexican to Italian flavors. Vanessa was very personable and we truly enjoyed talking with her during the tour. I really appreciated the fact that Vanessa never mentioned writing a review for her company and just focused on giving us an excellent experience. We went to 4 different restaurants. I think everyone's least favorite was the last dessert, but it was okay because we had so much yummy food before then. I highly recommend the tour! The walking was nice since we were eating so much. You also get a little history tour as you walk. It wasn't too much walking so I think it's suitable for older adults and kids (I heard some of the other locations are more walking so be sure to ask if you're concerned).
