He surveyed the situation and gave me a quote, then returned a few days later to do the job. Unfortunately, once he got started on it, he realized that what appeared to be the correct wiring between the house and garage was not sufficient to carry the current needed for a 30 amp plug. He was very apologetic, but I appreciated his honesty and that he didn't go ahead and install something that wouldn't be any better than the 125 volt extension cord I was already running. He refused payment for his time spent, and even switched out a faulty light switch for us before leaving - again at no charge. I will definitely contact Joe again when I need work done.
