A minor but needless frustration: callers are told that appointments can be scheduled online. This is not actually possible, as one discovers only after wasting about 20 minutes trying. More seriously, during my sleep study, the technician insisted on waking me at 5:00 a.m. because he wanted to go home. This rule requires patients to fall asleep before midnight if both portions of the study--with and without CPAP--are to be completed. According to the records, I fell asleep at 11:58 p.m., yet the full study was still not completed. I must therefore undergo the study again. Whether I will be charged for this second attempt remains to be seen. In any case, because of long wait times, my diagnosis and treatment have been delayed by multiple months.

From the moment I met her, she presented herself with a welcoming, kind, compassionate and calming presence. She truly listens and hears what your issues and concerns are! I had been diagnosed with a sprained rotator cuff, which was not only painful and limiting, but draining me of my energy! Although I love my primary care doc, his solution was to put me on heavy duty anti-inflammatory meds, which can be hard on your liver and have side-effects as well! I am not a stranger to acupuncture and was able to get an appt near where I live... I was fortunate enough to be seen by Laura.:) I had recently lost my husband, which Laura took into account with compassion, as well as my injury. I hope I am stating this correctly, but she explained that grieving can also contribute to the injury healing and that you hold grief in the left side of your body... the sprain is in my left side. Laura started with a 'clearing'... which I can only explain as "getting rid of my junk" ... I felt revived when leaving that day! I continued to see her for several more appts. I'm happy to say that my shoulder has improved 100% from when I had my first treatment, as well as other issues I had been having! Now for some gentle strengthening exercises. ;) I will continue to see Laura for monthly overall maintenance. However, now that Dr McNamara is part of Bethesda Physician Associates, an MDVIP practice, there is no comparison to the past. Now, if there is an issue, I usually get a callback from Dr McNamara within an hour or so. If I am sick, I can usually get a same day or next day appointment. The physical exam is comprehensive and is not rushed. I am highly satisfied with the change. The downside is that there is now an additional fee of $2,000 per year. However, I realize that in this age of managed care and insurance-driven health care, it has become necessary in order to get the care that I desire and expect.

I understand people have lives outside of their work; however, it should have never taken until October to hear back about something regarding her health, good or bad. He now works for MDVIP where patients pay extra money to have a doctor on call whenever they need them. I don't know about anyone else but, if I'm going to pay over $1000 extra to have a doctor there whenever I need him/her, I would want someone who really cares about the hospitality aspect of the medical field. I don't seem to be the only person who feels this way either.

She is extremely thorough, knowledgable, intelligent, compassionate, communicative, collaborative, and dedicated. She knows what she knows, but also knows what she doesn't know and can admit that. I tried a few different integrative doctors before I met with Dr. Chandra, but they either didn't have has much coverage as her, or they weren't collaborative partners in my health journey. There isn't an ounce of condescension in this office, which is refreshing. She hires the best people, too. They are intelligent, compassionate, strong, and dedicated, too. But most importantly, I'm able to function as a human being again, which is the best part. I continue to work with her to peel back the layers of onion that is my journey toward even better health. I don't normally write reviews but Dr. Leda Kaveh has been my bright spot these last four years because she cares for her patients. I have seen therapists before who didn't seem invested in me but from our very first session, Dr. Leda Kaveh made me feel safe and like I could trust her. Scheduling with her is a breeze. One time I was going through several personal events at once and met with Dr. Leda Kaveh via phone almost twice a day for a week. I cannot say enough good things about her and how helpful she has been. One of the top therapists in this area. Cannot recommend her and this practice enough. Also, in response to their audio, technology is not always perfect. However, I know that has never stopped Dr. Kaveh from helping me. We have had sessions where just the video was up so we could see each other but talked through the phone. The flexibility used by this office is amazing.

She was my therapist for almost three years, and I made real progress during the time we worked together. Unfortunately, the way our therapeutic relationship ended left me deeply disappointed. Nina decided that we should discontinue treatment because I would not give her permission to communicate with my psychiatrist. During our final session, I again made it explicitly clear that I did not consent to her contacting my psychiatrist or discussing my treatment with them. About one week after I had been discharged and was no longer Nina's client, I received a call from my psychiatrist's office informing me that Nina had contacted them and wanted to schedule a time to discuss my treatment plan. I immediately told the office that she was no longer my therapist and that I had expressly declined permission for that communication. Thankfully, my psychiatrist's office did not schedule the meeting. This was extremely upsetting to me. Regardless of the reason for wanting to communicate with my psychiatrist, I had explicitly said no. Privacy, boundaries, and informed consent are especially important to me in a therapeutic relationship, and I felt that my clearly stated wishes were not respected. I reported the incident to Washington Psychological Wellness, but I was never informed of an outcome or resolution. I'm not telling anyone that they shouldn't see Nina. In fact, for nearly three years I found her to be a compassionate and effective therapist who helped me make meaningful progress. I simply believe prospective clients should know about my experience and be clear about their own expectations regarding communication with other healthcare providers. I genuinely wish this had never happened, because it changed the way I look back on what had otherwise been a very positive and productive therapeutic relationship.

I have to say that I really like Dr. Goldstein. He's kind of quiet, but he sits and listens to your problems trying to assess the situation. Eventually, he'll ask you some questions and to be honest, he was right on the money for a lot of things that really helped my problems. What I also like is that he takes a very methodological approach to trying to solve your issues by going through several tests and trials. Also, the staff is really on top of things. The only downside is that he's kind of far from me since I live in DC, but overall, I'm planning to stick with him.

I think I may have started with Dr Goldstein and at some point was seen by Katie. She is the best. Always super cheery, takes the time to listen, and makes me come see her on the regular. She keeps it real. This office is responsive to voicemails and it has always been thorough in making sure I get my appointments in and provides the prescription refill authorizations as needed. My mother came here first and was seen by Dr Prosky, then I followed suit and haven't regretted it ever. This office discovered the cancer that my mother had and quickly referred us the fabulous team at Georgetown Hospital for further treatment. My mother is cancer free and has a new liver to boot!!!! All because this team of doctors and PA's, and NP's and all the great staff made it possible. Regular check ups, lab work and follow ups this group encourages makes it all possible for us to have happy GI systems. LOL. They also have a place right down the hall from the office to get your colonoscopies. Get it done folks. Stay healthy. If you are looking for a great GI team, I absolutely recommend these guys.
