I reached out in February 2023 to schedule with a therapist from their team. They gave me a list of options with "minimal" waiting time and opted for Johnathan. They told me it would be a 2 month waiting list, 2 months went by and then they said it would be another 2 months. Ultimately 2 months turned into 7 months!!!! I had my appointment scheduled today and just received an email that my appointment is now canceled because I hadn't sent over paperwork which wasn't even properly explained as a pre-requeisite or reminded me of it once I scheduled the appointment. Seven months of back and forth for nothing. A complete waste of my time. Do not recommend this place regardless of how good or bad their therapists are. read more

I am deeply disappointed with the Washington Psych Wellness intake process. I was referred their way from a highly regarded therapist who was full with clients. Upon communicating with the WPW team, it took a few days for a response but I was patient given the time of year and just general understanding that therapists are in high demand. Once communication happened, I was emailed a list of potential available therapists to choose from who had open times. I wasn't allowed to talk to the therapists, but just work through the admin staff to figure out next steps. From there, I was directed to complete (no exaggeration) 4 consent forms and about 10 pages of history and survey questions. I was not permitted to have a free, short consultation as was the case with other potential therapists. Instead, I had to provide my insurance, credit card, and more up front before ever talking to someone to even see if I wanted to have them as a therapist. I went through all of this mostly because I wanted to compare with another therapists who I had already had a 15 minute consultation and just didn't want to rush to a decision. Today, I received a text saying that WPW were going to have to reschedule my first appointment for this evening, trying to get me to meet with the therapist at 7pm on Friday.... um, no. Beyond the last minute request to reschedule, I had already informed them that I wasn't available on Fridays given my work and volunteer schedule, so they clearly weren't paying attention. While I am sure their therapists are fine, I could never recommend this agency given the experience I had even before starting a session. Update: After 2 very positive conversations with Dr. Leda Kaveh, I wanted to indicate that the team will be continuing to review their practices to reduce barriers for potential clients and to also invite feedback (anonymous or named). I encourage potential clients to review the paperwork, disclosures, financial requirements, and other administrative aspects of an intake. Every organization is different and some lean more into legal protections, some more into comfort, and most are in between. read more

I found Dr. Leda Kaveh on a whim through a Facebook ad almost four years ago and i have never looked back because clicking on that ad has been one of my best decisions. I don't normally write reviews but Dr. Leda Kaveh has been my bright spot these last four years because she cares for her patients. I have seen therapists before who didn't seem invested in me but from our very first session, Dr. Leda Kaveh made me feel safe and like I could trust her. Scheduling with her is a breeze. One time I was going through several personal events at once and met with Dr. Leda Kaveh via phone almost twice a day for a week. I cannot say enough good things about her and how helpful she has been. One of the top therapists in this area. Cannot recommend her and this practice enough. Also, in response to their audio, technology is not always perfect. However, I know that has never stopped Dr. Kaveh from helping me. We have had sessions where just the video was up so we could see each other but talked through the phone. The flexibility used by this office is amazing. read more

When I was at my worst, no one could get through to me. I tried multiple therapists and none of them clicked like Leda. We've been working together for YEARS because she goes above and beyond to help me. Literally will go out of her way to make sure I get the help I need no matter how busy she is- she makes time because she genuinely cares and that's how she runs things. DON'T GO HERE! THEY WILL CHARGE $156 if you miss a single session, punishing those who's mental health caused them to miss it. Once I was 10 minutes late and they marked me as absent anyways to charge me. Putting aside the greed, the therapy is not good. Jonathan continually brought up pseudo-science "spiritual" bullshit and would end up finding different ways to tell me to meditate. Not actually equipped to help someone with real issues. And they use a really awful online video service who's audio constantly goes out. Fuck everyone involved in this scam. read more
