One item was the Bamboo Orchid, which is just beautiful! There are also other plants I have never seen - of course, they were a little pricey, but I am definitely going back once a month and treating myself to those items. And when I say pricey I mean $90 - $100. I'm a tightwad and hate to spend money on myself but there are some pretty fabulous plants here - I totally recommend at least trying it out. The lady working there was very helpful and even went and looked something up to provide me with more info. She didn't have to do that so that was really cool of her. Thank you! O'Connell's is now on MY once a month "treat" shopping list, though I'm sure it will be more. And this place is going on my Christmas List. I read that the owner is very helpful - look forward to meeting him someday. Now if I could only find those large plant signs they use to describe the plants. I want to do the same in my garden.

And Mitenka an employee took me into their native section. And was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about plants that attract butterflies and lay their eggs on. And how to care for the larve until butterfly stage. I learned alot. Donna was helpful in showing how to graft certain plants as well. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The employees really work hard there. I would recommend this nursery. Ask questions because they have the knowledge to help you grow your plants successfully.

We have purchased most of our flowers and plants from this place and everything has turned out beautiful so far. (Mind you we've had a few not survive the frost warnings this last winter, but that happens.) We've just started landscaping our new house and the items purchased from this business has made our small house beautiful! We had our property leveled and we ordered 9 pallets of sod. Those pallets were nice, not full of…read moreweeds which encouraged us to order 10 more pallets from them. When they received it, they called us to let us know it was very dry and offered to find a better sod farm to get sod. We had to take 3 pallets of the dry sod due to sand washing out (rainy season) next to our driveway. So the following week they delivered 7 pallets and all were good except one. The sod just fell apart. We took pictures to show how bad the pallet was and they said they would replace it. Fast to the next week, a new pallet (pictures attached) was delivered and the sod was poor quality....full of weeds and very little grass strands. There isn't a scheduled day they deliver and they literally call and say it's on its way which is difficult for people that work. The last pallet was delivered last Thursday and when we looked T the pallet after work knew there was an issue. Since it was after business hours we called them 6 times on Friday and we finally got a call from them today (Tuesday). We just didn't want anymore sod from them based on the facts that they didn't check the quality of this pallet before delivery, this is the second time we had issues with the quality and last minute deliveries but they will not refund us our money. Bottom line up front (BLUF): if you don't mind spending $150 for essentially dirt by the time it's all said and done for crappy sod, additional cost to try to kill the insurmountable weeds all while hoping it doesn't spread to the rest of your lawn, then this is the company for you. Never again.....
