This was our first time at Anson Nursery. We met Stephanie & she walked us around the nursery explaining which plants liked full sun & which ones liked shade. We were so impressed with all of her knowledge. Stephanie was very patient with us and answered all of our questions. We purchased a plant and are anxious for delivery and planting. Went here looking for Florida native plants. Unfortunately didnt have the one I was looking for and can't find it anywhere. But I picked up numerous other pollinators. And Mitenka an employee took me into their native section. And was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about plants that attract butterflies and lay their eggs on. And how to care for the larve until butterfly stage. I learned alot. Donna was helpful in showing how to graft certain plants as well. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The employees really work hard there. I would recommend this nursery. Ask questions because they have the knowledge to help you grow your plants successfully. read more

What great service! We arrived, unsure of what we wanted, and Dottie took us through the entire yard, explaining what needs sun and how much and what would be good. First time here and I LOVE Anson's Nursery!! I needed some plants for a landscaping project at my house. I was helped by Dawn, who was super informative and helpful in suggesting which plants would be a good fit for their location and sun requirements. I enjoy that this nursery is local and is a sustainable landscaping specialist. I would highly recommend purchasing from them for anything from large projects to a single plant. 10/10. read more

I am a new resident to Florida. Had them come out to give me a Landscaping plan those costs 25.00. Two months later no call no nothing. Called to get a refund and was told no refunds. What a scam. This nursery needs to get their act together. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I had the exact same experience as another reviewer had with this nursery. They charged me $25 to come to the house because they don't want anybody to waste Jason's time. I respect that. He told me I would have a quote in 2 weeks. However, after SEVEN weeks, and a phone call or 2, they finally called me to say my quote was ready. I said it was too late and I wanted my $25 back. NO REFUNDS! So I guess their time is valuable, but mine is not. They exhibited a complete lack of respect for me and my time. Looks like a rip off scam to me. Oh, and they did finally send me the quote.... I had asked for exactly 3 trees to be planted. The quote they sent was for OVER 20 plants! As I had explained very carefully to Jason what I wanted, there should have been no confusion about this. Maybe if he had done what I paid him for in less than 2 months he might have remembered. read more

I took a picture of a front yard landscaping in Ocala, FL about 3 years ago and finally got around to calling Anson Nursery. They scheduled an appointment date and Jason arrived right on schedule. We went over the photo, talked over a few ideas and got put on the schedule pending my approval of the work order. The staff was more than happy to assist in just one change, a choice of palms, and the work was scheduled. The team that arrived went right to work and 2 1/2 days later we had the beautiful front yard I'd been thinking about. The guys did an awesome job and many positive comments from neighbors and visitors have proven so. When it came to be fall planting time, I visited Anson Nursery in Lecanto, located on Homosassa Trail. What an impressive array of plants! I wanted one of each, but I was working on a small memorial garden to my parents. Upon arriving, an employee approached me not to be pushy, but to be friendly and helpful. If there is one truism here in Florida, it's that nearly everyone is friendly. An affable young lady explained where the shade plants were and then left me to look on my own. About the time I had decided on two azalea plants and a camillia bush, a young man was on hand to carry the selected plants around until I was certain that I had found everything I wanted. This business treated me like family. The facility is clean and impressive, and the employees are helpful with advice on what to plant and where and when. I highly recommend Anson. read more

We had Anson deliver and plant 4 palm trees, from helping to select the correct palm for our area to planting these people were TOP NOTCH. We are building a home and out of all the contractors we have dealt with we rate Anson number 1!!! Great place, highly recommend them. read more

Great selection of plants. Very knowledgeable staff. We had our yard completely relandscsped by Anson's. They drew up the site plan, walked us through the selections, were very willing to make changes to the plan prior to the work, showed up when they said they would. The team that did our work was extremely professional. They talked is through what they were doing all along the way. Did what they said they would do, were respectful of the property, and didn't take short cuts. Prior to going with Anson's we spoke with 5 other "professional" landscaping contractors. They either couldn't, or wouldn't even complete the bid. It was refreshing to find someone who could follow through on an agreement. read more

A great local business with helpful and knowledgeable staff and a wide selection of healthy plants to choose from. They have lots of variety and take care to stock plants that will thrive in Florida. I was particularly impressed with their fruit tree selection which included not only several orange varieties but grapefruit, pink lemons, kumquats, key and Persian limes, fig, apple, and cherry trees. read more

We have been using this Ansons now for about 5 years. Good people to work with. Great selection and Jason knows his stuff. We bought a few plants that were not doing well and Jason came out and showed us what we were doing wrong and we were able to salvage the plants. At least I know if I have a problem I have someone to fall back on who knows plants or can tell me what I am doing wrong. I never buy anything from a place that won't service what I bought, so Ansons is probably the best in Citrus County. read more
