Very fun for the whole family. Minus one star for the girl who was working as the cashier the afternoon of July 28, 2018. There were no greetings and no articulation. As the face of the game we were about to play she made us feel unwelcome and she needs to get a better attitude. But we only had to deal with her to pay and had a great game of mini golf.

My only complaint is that the course was changed to a Christmas theme, and Christmas music is played very loudly throughout the entire course. I understand and appreciate the holiday theme, but as a suggestion, it would be nice to have other music rather than only Christmas songs. I think that would make the experience more enjoyable for a wider range of guests. Overall, this is just friendly feedback. If the music selection changes in the future, I would definitely consider coming back and giving the course another try.

You'll have to go there if you want to use your credit card to play golf...otherwise you can use cash to pay at the golf counter. Golf prices are $10 per person...children 3 and under are free. You are given a club, ball and score card. The 19-hole course is well maintained...the grounds were clean and all of the decorations were functioning as they should. While we did have to wait a few minutes on some of the more difficult holes whiles the groups ahead finished, it wasn't too bad. The difficulty level throughout was very fair...enough that most people, including children, could complete the course. There are benches along the way so you can sit while you wait. The single staff member at the front counter was super friendly and helpful. Large parking lot. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for something fun to do in the area. $10 per person, for 19-holes in a high-tourist location is extremely reasonable in my opinion.

With that being said, the guy that works here is an absolute miserable person. To explain, I went to pick up a scorecard and he flipped out. He yelled and said that "he was the only one allowed to touch the scorecards". This is a mini golf course, not the Masters. Furthermore, he wouldn't let you pick your own club so my club was way too short for me. On top of that, he let way too many people on the course at once and it was impossible to move. It took almost two hours to finish the course. Also, when I was in the middle of a hole, the guy came out with leaf blower and was holding everyone up. Just an unbelievable experience. In the same manner, the course itself was not good. To clarify, the course was extremely hilly and the greens were uneven. The golf balls would just roll by themselves. In addition, the course was only designed for right handed players. There were several holes where you couldn't even hit as a lefty due to trees and bushes. It was simply a poorly designed course. In all, Shell We Golf is one of the worst mini golf courses that I've ever played due to poor design and rude employees.

The biggest issue for us was that there just wasn't much to the course. It advertises BOGO, which may be the gimmick to get people in, but once we saw the course, we weren't convinced it was worth it. The holes are very small and straightforward, without much of the fun decor, creative obstacles, or challenges I typically look for in mini golf. It felt much more geared toward beginners or very young kids than a traditional mini-golf experience. If you're looking for something simple and easy for little ones, it might work. But if you're expecting the fun, themed, challenging mini golf experience, I'd probably look elsewhere.

Nice location, walkable from many hotels, plus two full size 18 hole courses. That means that even when it's busy, it doesn't feel too crowded. The holes themselves were fun. Nothing too fancy or wild, but they did have some trick-shot greens, tunnels, and other slopes to keep you thinking. I even scored one hole in one! In the middle of the property is a big volcano. Probably twice an hour, it lights up, rumbles... but no worries. Nothing will erupt on you! Hot tip: Look for their coupon either in a local coupon book or on their social media page. They also match competitor coupons. We found a Buy 3, Get 1 Free deal, which was great for a family of four. Overall, this was a fun way to spend some time together without feeling like we were packed onto a mini golf course with everyone else. There are plenty of options in Ocean City, but Embers Island worked out ok for us. I might just try another next time.

I found it mostly easy to make par, but not so easy that it wasn't fun. The front desk people didn't have a helpful attitude (E.g. I asked if they had a bathroom, was told "yes," silence, and then I had to ask where it was to find out where it was). But we still had a great time. There are two courses, which are not clearly marked at the beginnings, but once you get on one you'll naturally follow that one until the end. The "volcano" is really just a "mountain" with waterfalls, no "lava."
