We just finished a front porch remodel with JACCO Builders and had a wonderful experience. From…read morethe start, Jonathan Wilkinson made things easy with a fair quote and great communication. The transformation was huge--new metallic roof, windows, gutters, and a finished lower ceiling with new lights and a fan. A huge thank you to Daniel and his brother for the beautiful painting and window work, and to Tommy and Eddie for getting the electrical perfect. Ben John did a great job keeping everything coordinated and on track. The whole crew was so respectful of us and our home. We really felt like they cared about the quality of their work. We'll definitely be using them again! Best of luck to the team in 2026!

Where to begin with these guys... What an absolute dumpster fire…read more We hired Jonathan and team to do a remodel of our first floor which consisted of a Kitchen remodel, new hardwood floors throughout, fresh paint throughout, a new front door, updated insulation in three interior walls, and a new fireplace insert/faux chimney. We were estimated an 8-12 week turnaround, and since we'd need to move out to have the majority of the work completed, I asked that everything that needed to be ordered with lengthy lead times to be purchased and awaiting install before we even started. (I am a professional interior designer, and have worked commercially in major cities across the country for almost a decade, so I know what a legit contractor is SUPPOSED to do). Jonathan and team are all smiles and reassuring words, but it's all lies. They just tell you what you want to hear so that they can get on with the project. So I believed him and moved out of my house with my pets and my baby and toddler on August 18th, and by Halloween the house still wasn't really livable, but we had to force ourselves back into the home because it had been 10 weeks of Airbnbs, hotels, visiting and staying with family and we just couldn't afford it anymore. (Keep in mind that Jonathan actually told us we could be back in the house after 2 weeks...). Jonathan did feel bad and offered us his Airbnb after we'd been out of the house for 8 weeks, but it was over an hour away and I needed to be close by to monitor all of the red flags I was seeing. Everything took way longer than it should have. Even during demolition, there were DAYS where no one would show up. Communication was abysmal. Halfway through the project, a "project manager" was hired. That poor guy was not onboarded at all and he was essentially thrown into our project with no knowledge of anything we'd discussed with Jonathan. Naturally he did a terrible job but we don't even blame him, he was set up for failure. Not only did everything take longer than it should have, but everything, and I mean literally every aspect of the project was done wrong the first, and even sometimes the second time, before it was done "right"...everything had to be redone again and again, and even then it's still not done well. Even our floors weren't cured correctly and we had to move out AGAIN to have them redone. And when we got home there was hair, leaves and mud sealed into the floor. We had a hood vent installed, it's cracking less than a year after install, every wall they built isn't straight, every patch job they did on walls is lumpy, all the floor molding is in some cases 1/4" off the floor because they didn't level the floor before installing the hardwood, the wall around the new kitchen window they installed is so wonky that the marble backsplash sits a full 1/2" off the wall and had to be backfilled with drywall mud. I provided drawings for where I wanted my electrical(switching, fixtures, etc.) it wasn't followed. The subs didn't communicate with one another, and they didn't seem to communicate with JACCO either because more of them than not, they'd show up to the site and ask me what I wanted. I felt like I had to become the project manager, even though that's what I hired Jonathan for.. Overall the 8-12 week project took a total of TWENTY SIX WEEKS before we fired them. I tried to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, we tried to let them fix mistakes, they all seemed so nice and like they actually cared (and honestly they probably do) but it never got better.
