Could not be happier with the staff at Urology Specialists of the Carolinas. Dr Weisner and Dr Yau have both done surgeries on me. The P.A.s, nursing staff and the quality of the aftercare is top notch. You know you are dealing with terrific doctors and P.A.s when the nurses in the hospital all rave about how great they are and how nice they are to work with.

I had to wait 5 weeks for a first available appointment. Then I waited more than a half hours in the waiting room even though I had completed all paperwork prior to arriving for my visit and I then waited an hour in the exam room for the doctor. Novant however, scheduled my CT Scan within 24 hrs of my initial dr's visit and offered several appointment offers. My follow-up appointment was scheduled for 1 month after my initial dr's appointment, but the CT Scan took place just 2 days after my initial visit with the doctor. I sent the email below to the dr's office on 7-25-16... Good Morning, hope everyone's day is off to a great start! I actually had my CT Scan last Wednesday, 7-20-16. I was wondering if my follow-up appointment is going to be moved up from 7-25-16 to an earlier date? Whatever my issue is, there are times when it causes me a great deal of pain. It was so bad Saturday night that I was not able to sleep at all...that is not an exaggeration. However, it was not that bad last night and I was able to sleep. It is just so unpredictable. I guess to sum this experience up, in closing, I would say that other than my experience with the doctor himself, I had a terrible experience. Let me correct that actually, the nurse that came to take me from the waiting room to the exam room was great as well, very warm, very personable. It's nice when all your doctors are in the same practice, and with their success and expansion you can find almost any medical specialty here. I absolutely love my primary care doctor, Enrico Belgrave. He is very thorough and thoughtful, a good communicator, always listens to my concerns and answers my questions patiently. I've probably asked some silly ones, but he has never acted like it, and takes what I say seriously. He's an excellent doctor with great skills, knowledge and experience. He's also just a good man. So I tried to be understanding and just go with the flow, but when I tried to reschedule she told me they had nothing for a MONTH. I couldn't believe it so when I got home, I went online and found an appointment 2 days later. UNBELIEVABLE.

I believe they do the best teeth cleanings and can clearly see the difference after a visit. I usually saw the same receptionist and hygienists so they ended up remembering me and my family. I have no problem going in for my routine cleanings every 6 months, because I have plaque issues due to not flossing everyday (I do use the waterpik every week). Think about all that junk under your gums just building up for six months. I plan to keep Dr Nelson as my dentist as long as possible and definitely recommend anyone try him out!
