Without a doubt, this was one of the most challenging experiences for me in academia, and I have an advanced degree in Biology. So, whatever you do, do not take this program lightly. The material covered is very comprehensive, with certain aspects mirroring year one of medical school. Given the duration of the program, there will unquestionably be times when you're overcome by the sheer volume of material covered in such a short time frame. Whatever you do, **don't get discouraged.** Stay the course. Rest assured, the staff at RCI are there to support you as best as they can. Because your success is a direct reflection of them-- their ability to ensure you are well prepared for the board exam and will make a positive contribution to the medical community at large. I had previously enrolled in a three-month electrical program at another school, where I learned some concepts incorrectly. In this program at Baldwin Park, Mr. Naseiro taught me how to correct the mistakes from the previous school. In this program, I gained knowledge about residential, commercial, industrial, and motor controls wiring. I learned how to wire various systems and how to bend conduit. Most importantly, I learned about safety and personal protective equipment (PPE). As a result of this program, I obtained my Electrical Trainee Card and can now work in the field. Mr. Naseiro, counselor Ms. Razo, and the front office and financial aid staff have all been amazing in helping me with everything I needed. Thank you to everyone involved. I took my class with Matthew Perez, adjunct instructor to Barry, and he made sure the content was clear. The skills instructors and professors only want the best for us and it was thoroughly shown throughout my time that was spent with them. A lot of attention and guidance is provided to the students and if at any time confusion was present, the professors and skills instructors made sure to clarify the topics. Furthermore, whenever students had a question outside of class Mr. Perez was always prompt on answering emails and was able to meet the student's individual needs. Hi my name is Lindsey. I came across UEI in 2023 and if I'm being honest I don't remember how I…read moreheard of them but I knew they had the medical assistant program and I was interested. After visiting on campus for tour/ rotation day, talked to staff and was assisted on the process of joining the program and the options of loans and the school schedule. I was able to work my full time job during the week (my only income) while also completing online classes and tests. On weekends I'd go back on campus for in person training and learning. It was the most convenient and absolutely accommodating help I could've ever asked for! Once I finished my hours I was helped with getting my first job as a MA and got all the experience I needed. I am currently undergoing my second job at an urgent care all thanks to the help of career service director Bana Keflom. After looking for my permanent office job I was feeling discouraged till until she came along to encourage and assist me on my journey. Although there are other steps to go further into the medical field, I am truly happy I completed the program at UEI and that everything went accordingly from online classes to on campus hours and internship completion. I am extremely grateful to have Bana help me through my journey and be just as thrilled for me as any of my family and friends.
