He tried the steroid shots and that didn't really help any. I wanted him to try something unconventional to these doctors he had been seeing that never even bothered to even feel his neck for a simple evaluation before ordering more pills and scans. I sent him here and he called me after his appointment so grateful. He said it was well worth the drive through an hour of traffic to go here. Had he not went he wouldn't have found such relief. The doctor felt his neck and found two of his cervical disks misaligned and popped them back into place and basically told him he's fixed and never to come back. I've never heard of a doctor saying we don't want to see you again! My husband has already recommended this place to his family and I can say he's back to being my husband again and no longer moody and grumpy. We're going back for a follow up just to make sure his problem is resolved and I have to go to see this place for myself.

The dr was super nice and gave a consultation first. The acupuncture procedure was painless and calming. I felt relief as soon as I stood up from the table. She recommended herbal teas as well as herbal medicines to accompany the treatment. While treatment was going on I could hear other patients rave about her work and give verbal review while in the office. I would recommend this place for anything you are feeling and want to change. It's worth a try! I'll be back for more routine visits!

Let me preface this review by first stating that I am a healthcare provider and I went to the ER…read moreand was hospitalized prior to trying acupuncture and eastern medicine. I had sudden onset double vision with lid droop (pupil sparing partial cranial nerve 3 palsy) and everything at the ER came back clear. There was no tumor or stroke etc so essentially they found no cause. I was discharged and told to take steroids and to wear a patch until this resolved. The day after I was discharged, my husband and I decided to try acupuncture. The first visit went well. Grace and Dr. Lee have great English and I saw lots of non-Asian patients there as well. I was able to use my flex spending and I don't think they took medical insurance but they did tell me to try and call my insurance company to see if acupuncture is something they would cover. There was a short exam ($20) followed by the actual acupuncture itself ($55). The needles, in my opinion, are not painful. Feels the same as when you go eyebrow threading. I rested with the needles in for about 30 minutes then was prescribed some herbal tea and herbal pills to take daily. The hardest part was probably laying there and not getting to scratch your face or head when you're feeling itchy. They do give you a little bell that you can ring and they will actually scratch for you which was really sweet of them! I did not notice much difference after the first session but it is still quite early in the process. I went back for my second session of acupuncture ($55). The needles were in slightly different locations and continued with the teas and pills. Towards the end of the night I was noticing that my double vision was not as doubled anymore! The next morning my lid droop and vision had definitely improved. My third visit was very similar to my second visit. I will continue with the teas and pills until next week but she thinks I will need around 10 session of acupuncture. Overall I would say this was very helpful for my case and if you have not tried acupuncture before, definitely worth a shot!

Guess he retired and Frank, the son, has been seeing us on cupping and acupuncture. Both providers are gentle and caring. It's usually only one person working and they have to answer the phone, treat patients on treatments and answers to walk-in customers. You may need to allocate extra time and just be patient. Honest folks! So glad they are sharing their Eastern medicine wisdom and offering these services in the Houston community!

The biggest advantage is plenty of parking. My recent visit was a little disappointing. He said I was fat. He sold me some ready-made herbal medicines to improve my cardiovascular system. A month later, I still feel fat. Of course, traditional Chinese medicine takes time. But I don't have the patience. He used the auscultation method to measure my blood pressure and he pumped several times to get a reading. His diagnosis was "I had thick blood." Mmm... Ok, that sounded better than my thick fat. Other than the traditional herbal formulas, Oriental Herbs & Lulin Acupuncture is also an exclusive dealer for some Chinese herbal supplements made in US.
