I would give zero stars if possible. I was looking for a dentist in the Lafayette area because I had a major cavity. First red flag was that my first appointment, he said I needed a root canal and he immediately started on the cavity with no prior consultation. Basically, he didn't know what he was getting himself into. Also, I have never heard of a regular dentist doing major root canals, they usually refer to an endodontist. The procedure was very painful. I had to go back three different times and paid a lot of money for my tooth to still be in bad shape. When I went back in for my crown to be put on, the second red flag. They had so much trouble trying to get the crown fitted and it still doesn't fit properly. They also told me to not chew on that side of my mouth...the point of getting it down was so I could chew on this side. I was still in pain. Months later, I'm starting to have a lot of trouble with the tooth. It hurts a lot and my gums start to swell and bleed. I couldn't do anything about it because I used up my insurance for that period on this root canal! A couple more months down the line, the tooth gets an abscess on it and I start feeling tremendous pain. Now, I am currently getting everything fixed that was messed up. I have an infection in the tooth and have to get the root canal completely redone! Beware of this fraud performing procedures that he is not properly trained for. If your dentist tells you that you need a root canal, ask to be referred to an endodonist ASAP!! read more
