While we are very happy with the final results, getting to the so-called "finish line" proved to be…read morea bit of a challenge. That is the reason for this update. This remodeling project was begun around July 21, 2022. About three and one-half weeks later, the job was listed as complete and we were once again able to use this bathroom. However, during the following week, we had to have someone come out again to make repairs: hot/cold water in the shower was flipped; hole along the tile and baseboard discovered; silicone was coming off the niche area in the shower; caulking was incomplete around the perimeter of the shower floor. Once those repairs were made, we thought that finally we were done. Nope. The paint on the ceiling started to peel above the shower. A lot. Finally had the painter return to repair that and we thought, once again, we were done. Apparently not, since we were told the ceiling was "fixed," but something different was evidently told to Roberto. After another week, the entire ceiling showed pieces of paint peeling off. Called for another repair. This time, Roberto came out and told us that the ceiling hadn't been done right in the first place and our only option was to tear out the entire ceiling and start over at an additional cost of $450. That did not sound like a reasonable idea, so it was then suggested that the ceiling texture be redone instead and painting would be done with eggshell (semi-gloss) paint rather than latex paint. We accepted that solution and waited for it to be fixed, finally. Painter came out and did the work at the end of September, but in total we were once again out of that bathroom for 5 days waiting for texture, primer and paint to dry. However, this seems to have truly repaired the problem - thank goodness. Then I get emailed an invoice for $350 for the ceiling repair. Wow. Paid that invoice on September 27, 2022: almost 10 weeks after the job was begun. Unfortunately for Roberto and his crews, though, he was what you can call "penny wise and pound foolish." We had informed every contractor that gave us a bid for this bathroom that based on our experience, we would then move forward for the really big job -- a complete remodel of the master bathroom -- a much larger and more expensive project. Because of the 6-week drag after "completion" and delay due to the ceiling repairs (along with other fixes) and the $350 invoice we received, we did not even consider a bid from Kitchen & Bath Remodeling for our master bathroom. Chose another contractor instead.

My wife and I are very pleased with Roberto's technical team. We had a bath tub removed and replaced with a walk-in shower. We picked out the new material with the help of Doris (Robert s wife and store manager). All new materials were selected from their showroom. They replaced the countertop with great stone top and all plumbing faucets were replaced. Two years ago, we remodeled our master bathroom and we loved the job these guys did. If you have a remodel job, you should give Robert and Doris a call before hiring anyone else. Reasonable price and first class personal service from job requirements quote to final job completion.

Its a long review - but thorough! Read this if you are looking for a good contractor or having…read moreremodeling or building work performed in the Houston Area! In and Out Remodeling sets the bar high for professional remodeling and construction services. This is a long review, but I felt compelled to explain how wonderful our experience has been with Carlos. Simply put, In and Out Remodeling, is the very best... They exemplify the important requirements when seeking a good contractor: * Quality * Customer Service * Value/Cost * Time My wife and I moved our family to the Houston area, purchased a home, and wanted to perform a complete overhaul/remodel of the interior. I engaged the market and was fortunate to find Carlos with In and Out Remodeling. We had met with and received estimates from several other contractors, however Carlos was able to start quickly, had reasonable prices, and he seemed very knowledgeable and professional, so we opted to go with Carlos. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!!! The entire process was made easy by Carlos! Quality - This is probably the most important element to me. I am OCD when it comes to my house, everything needs to be perfect and correct. And while most people would say that nothing is ever "Perfect", those people clearly never met Carlos and his company. Carlos will ensure that what you ask for is what you get! He utilizes some of the best skilled talent that I have seen in regard to his employees. The folks who did the work on my house were professional, and highly skilled! I get the impression that Carlos has been in this business for a very long time, and was likely a tradesman himself prior to opening his business, because he knows how to do EVERYTHING!!! Just show him a picture of draw him a sketch of what you want, and he will create it. Doesn't matter if it is internal, external, kitchen, bath, custom game room, whatever - the sky (and your checkbook) is the limit. And he truly stands behind his work. If there are any concerns or issues with his services, he works diligently to correct them, and does not stop until you are satisfied. Customer Service - Carlos understands the meaning of providing good service. He is extremely reliable and is very accommodating. I have never experienced any issues when trying to get a hold of him, and if he is busy, he always returns my call. He also is very trustworthy. He does not make promises that he can't keep and does well at explaining any and all issues related with a project (he does not try to sugar-coat stuff - I respect Carlos for this). Value/Cost - Carlos' prices are very reasonable, and usually slightly lower than his competition. But the value he provides for the money - well, I just don't know how anybody could provide more value! Even if Carlos' prices are higher than other bids you are receiving (which I would be shocked to see), I would still go with Carlos, because the level of quality and service he provides can't be beat! Time - As much as I wish this doesn't matter, we all know it does! Time is money, and when projects take too long, or they delay due to lack of planning, it ends up being a problem. Once again, Carlos shines - he started working within days of giving him the deposit. His competition was telling me they were 2-6 weeks out. Carlos is likely able to offer faster timeframes because he has a solid crew, he has excellent resources for materials and supplies, and he is well connected in the industry. We finished the project ahead of schedule, and that was after I added more to the scope of work! Bottom-Line, you must at least give Carlos a chance, and I would be very surprised if you did and still went with his competition, he is that good! And for the record, this is not my first rodeo; my wife and I have purchased many homes and have performed many various remodels over the years. My only woe is that he won't come with me if I ever move away from Houston, because I utilize him for practically everything around my house now! #2 - Garage & Masonry We love Carlos and In and Out Remodeling so much, that there is no project performed around my house without consulting and receiving a bid from Carlos @ In and Out! We wanted to perform an addition to our house, specifically, we wanted to build a detached garage. But there is a caveat - I live in an exclusive neighborhood, and it had to meet stringent building and design requirements. Basically, it had to look exactly like the other garage.... No problem for In and Out. Carlos had his builders on site within one week and had materials there even sooner! Carlos took care of everything, and it looks amazing! Looks like it was built with the house! Lastly, at the conclusion of the garage project, we wanted to have some decorative masonry work done to the front of our house. Carlos built us some very nice custom columns to match our house and did some beautiful masonry work to my bridge and mailbox. AMAZING WORK!

This email was sent twice in July and August. No response has been received…read more Mr. Wahbeh, Your company did my tile and wood floor installation in 2018. As you may recall, we made several complaints about the poor quality of work done. The grout was not applied properly and was streaking on the tile surface. The tile did not look clean and was smudged terribly. Leveling clips were not used, which caused our tile to be uneven. 12 x 24 tile is supposed t have leveling clips, but ours did not. We had over 40 loose tiles, many of which are cracked. Our tile professional is removing the tile and we discovered the following mistakes made. 1. The adhesive is not evenly applied. Tile of this size is supposed to be buttered on both sides to insure proper adhesion. See the attached photos. 2. No flexible substrate was used, even though we are on a pier and beam foundation. I was told that the backerboard would prevent movement when your company did the work. This was not correct; a flexible substrate should have been used according to tile professionals. 3. Flexible grout was not used. This is necessary with large format tile and specifically where installation is on pier and beam. The grout used was Fusion Pro which is specifically not to be used where there can be movement in the subfloor. Given the poor workmanship, we have now spent over $3,500 repairing and replacing tile. This is simply wrong on many fronts. I am hereby requesting reimbursement for $3,500 for our tile repair and replacement. I would like to hear from you by July 31st so that I can decide my next course of action. If you are unwilling to reimburse my cost of repairing the poor workmanship your company did, I will have to resort to a collection effort and advise others of our situation as appropriate.
