I contacted Greyhound because they had a home listed that looked perfect. After seeing it I put in an offer that was the highest received. The broker from Greyhound was supposed to be acting as a transaction broker but gave me a litany of bad advice starting with, "This seller is getting greedy." He told me she wanted more than I had offered and when I said, "I guess I have to give it to her" he said, "I think the market determines the price and it already determined your bid is what the house should go for, don't give her any more." I asked if she couldn't just go to the other bidders and ask for more. He said no, she would have to take the house off the market and re-list it in order to do that. I said I had to give her something and he replied that she was just trying to "squeeze you for more money". I suggested forgoing the inspection and he said he didn't recommend that. I said I have to do SOMETHING. I told him to nicely ask the seller if that would work for her. He came back and said either that or the price increase so I agreed to lose the inspection. Then he came back and said she changed her mind and was asking for new bids. He said I should just walk away and not deal with her because she was crazy (she was also a Greyhound customer.) I told him to give her everything she wanted! I lost the house. Afterward, he said "Don't worry, you still have the 2% deal." I wondered what he was talking about and then I realized HE would make 2% on the next house. I truly believe he intentionally sabotage my purchase.

Design Build Unlimited is everything we had hoped. Our home turned out beautifully. Billy took…read morethe ideas in our dreams, drew up beautiful plans from our sketches, and executed the build with excellence, honesty and integrity. We have never seen a home framed this well (and most of our subs said the same thing). This house is SOLID. This winter has proved just how solid it really is. Billy uses good materials and doesn't skimp on quality. Quality is definitely what we got from Design Build Unlimited -- in all areas. There are so many things we love about this builder. He allows you to dream and then works hard to give you that dream. He has great ideas -- ones you would have never thought of. He doesn't force those ideas on you but works WITH you. Billy makes things happen. He treats his subs well (that's important to us) and chooses subs which deliver a superb product. He is conscientious, dedicated and wants his homes to be like ones in which he would live. He honors the thoughts of his clients and will give you clear direction if you are uncertain. He won't leave things to chance. We all know it's expensive to build a home and Billy tries to help you find good, solid solutions for making everything work together in your budget. He stands behind his word.....absolutely. We didn't know the Huttos before we moved here. Now they feel like a part of our family. We've built a home once before and our experience was not like this one. It was very troubling, actually. That builder was dishonest. THIS experience was the way it should be with any builder. You won't have to worry about being cheated with this company. Our home was worth the wait. Covid brought many challenges during our build. Our builder weathered all of them and worked even harder. That's the sign of a good builder who CARES. He cares not only about the product he delivers but he cares about his clients. There is no other company I can more highly recommend than Design Build Unlimited. 200% satisfaction and more............ If you want a home built RIGHT, THIS is the company to call. We say this without any hesitation.
