One of their biggest strengths is consistency. They communicate well, follow up when needed, and make a noticeable effort to ensure both clients and providers are satisfied. The office staff is dependable, friendly, and knowledgeable. When you call with questions, they do their best to provide accurate information rather than giving vague or misleading answers. If they are unsure about something, they don't guess or sugarcoat the situation--they will transfer you to someone with more experience or authority who can better assist you. That level of honesty and professionalism is refreshing. The agency is also consistently accepting new clients, making their services accessible to families who need care. The staff maintains a respectful and welcoming environment while also expecting the same level of respect from clients and providers. They do not tolerate disrespectful behavior, which helps create a more professional workplace. Like any caregiving agency, not every caregiver-client match is perfect. There are times when situations with certain providers don't work out. However, what stands out is how professionally those situations are handled. The team is generally understanding, listens to concerns from both sides, and works toward finding a reasonable solution whenever possible. No agency is perfect, and caregiving can be unpredictable, but overall Caregivers of Arizona demonstrates strong communication, professionalism, reliability, and a genuine commitment to helping both clients and caregivers have a positive experience. Based on my experience, I would recommend them to individuals and families looking for a dependable home care agency.

NPLHC is NOT a good place to work, do not work here. The owner Denise is highly unprofessional and…read moretreats employees like garbage, she will waste your time, money and gas. She calls at the last minute asking to pick up shifts, if you do not pick up the shift she will retaliate and take away your hours for the next week, If you disagree with her in the slightest bit she will fire you. It is her way or the highway, no respect or human decency she only cares about herself, Denise does not care if you have a family of your own to take care of. Any gas used is paid for out of pocket. Joel is great, but so are the staff- Rachelle and Desiree in particular, which have been there a…read morevery long time, are both wonderful in every way. They fight for me with insurance, and my needs- which are insane and numerous as a "sensitive type 1 diabetic" for 25 years next week. They have had to fight for the correct insulin to be covered, for my CGMs, for my insulin pump supplies which seem to just need constant new prescriptions... they all do all they can, and deserve endless praise. They quality of care is better here than any other doctor's office I've ever attended, and with MANY other medical issues, including my spine, neurological system, many, MANY muscles- all of that- they have continued to work with me through it all- and certainly never once threatened to discharge me as a patient as someone else mentioned, so if that were to occur, at least right now, I feel would only happen in an extreme circumstance. Joel, aka Dr Salter, is excellent with treatment- both physical and pharmaceutical- he has prescribed me opiate pain medication, a reasonable dosage given my spine is messed up, and clearly needs it- many doctors will not prescribe them despite the obvious need- that alone shows he will do the right thing even when others hardly ever will- that's a big deal for me. I recommend this place over every other local clinic- which I have almost certainly been to, as it took me many years to get to Joel- I was lucky enough that we had a mutual friend, and finally I had someone prescribing what treatment, physical and pharmaceutical, that I truly needed :-) 5/5 and more if I could give it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Joel for some time now, and I never had any issues until Desiree got…read moreupset when I told them to "figure it out." As a result, I was discharged as a patient. I called for four consecutive days, multiple times each day, without receiving a call back. On the fourth day, I received a call after hours, only to be told they were going to put me back on a medication that didn't work well for me. I was out of medication for four days, which was an unprecedented situation for me. I'm 29 and suffer from chronic interstitial cystitis. It was incredibly frustrating to call multiple times a day, only to be told, "We will send a message," but nothing was done. I was informed it would take too long to resolve my issue, and if I didn't like it, I could find a new doctor because Dr. Joel wasn't going to help me. I was asking for an alternative to a medication that my insurance denied, one that Dr. Joel had suggested and prescribed. There have been multiple instances that Dr. Joel is unaware of, and it's unfortunate that he is getting only one side of the story from his staff. I encourage you to check your recorded calls and speak to your patient care coordinators, who actively tried to assist me. You left me feeling stranded, and for what? Because I was upset that nothing was being done and that I was without medication, suffering from sleepless nights? This treatment is cruel, and I have never felt so crushed before. I trusted your team, and I feel completely treated unfairly. I will be filing a consumer complaint and have proof of multiple instances where my care was not handled appropriately--not by Dr. Joel, but by the front office staff. Dr. Joel, I wish you could hear my side of the story. Whatever was said to you to make you believe I was a threat to your office is not true; I was desperately trying to get help. I hope you take a closer look at your staff, as I am not the only one who can speak to this issue. Thank you, Desiree, for taking away the only doctor who listened to my needs. Dr. Joel, you are not the problem; your staff is, and it's disheartening that they did not consider what I was going through.
