Usually if I go away for a couple of days I have no problem leaving extra food out and extra litter boxes about but 12 days was just too much to leave them on their own. I searched the Internet for a long time before I found Amy's doggies. I met with her and felt very comfortable almost immediately. We spoke about my pets and my pets needs I'm was confident she would take great care. While I was away she sent pictures every day to show how the pets were doing and I have a very skittish cat that I expected would not come out, however to my great surprise she got her to come out. When I moved here, one of the things I was anxious about was finding a great dog walker for my Bulldog. He's not such a great walker, gets a bit lazy at times, and likes to pull on the leash so it really takes an experienced dog walker to be able to handle him. When I found out that Swifto expanded here to Miami as well, boy was I thrilled! They set me up right away with one dedicated dog walker who has just been so amazing. Always punctual, texts me before he arrives, and takes the most amazing photos of my dog. Now, that's besides the fact that they have a GPS tracking app, which, once you get used to it, you really feel like it's a must when hiring a dog walker. When we picked her up, I gave her water and she immediately started drinking it desperately. She didn't even greet us. She was more focused on drinking water than on seeing us, which says a lot about how thirsty she was. That behavior is not normal for her. Runa is not a dog that pants excessively unless she has been running a lot or is extremely tired. She almost never pants, not even when she's happy. That's why it really stood out to me that in every photo I received during her stay, she was constantly panting. At first glance, the dogs may appear "happy," but in reality they seem thirsty. She was there for only 5 days and still came back thinner and extremely thirsty. I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must have been for her , or how other dogs may be feeling if they are not being given proper access to water. I'm writing this with sadness, but also with the hope that this feedback leads to better care and attention to the well-being of the animals left at this place.
