Too good not to share... Ladies, if you've ever said, "I…read moreshould do something for my skin," but didn't know where to start--this is your sign. I recently went to Skin Experts thinking I was getting a basic old-school facial (which I love, by the way). But what I got felt more like a full-on med spa experience--without the med spa price tag. Red light therapy, skin tightening treatments, and products that actually work. Their Glo Serum? Worth every drop. My jawline's tighter, the hyperpigmentation's fading, and I'm finally seeing the glow I didn't think was possible after 50. The vibe is chill, the staff is lovely (the new red-haired manager is amazing!), and the membership packages make it totally affordable to stay consistent. If you're even thinking about cosmetic skincare or just want to treat yourself, go check them out and tell them Marlene sent you. Seriously--you deserve to feel good in your skin.

After the rave reviews on here, I took my daughter to get a facial with Denyse. Unfortunately, we…read moredidn't have the experience that the others had. We found her to be very nice but overpriced, over talkative, and not professional. Our appointment was at 1:30pm and she arrived at 1:35 with her lunch in hand. We had to wait outside until she unlocked the door. Her desk was a mess and she had trouble finding the intake form. We had to wait longer while she set up. It might just be my standards, but I think it shows professionalism and seriousness when the workspace is clean, clear and ready for business when your client arrives, especially to make a good first impression. Then, during the facial, while the mask was setting, she made a personal phone call where we could overhear her discussion. The extractions were quite painful and my daughter winced and moved her feet quite a bit to get through it. The appointment itself was close to 2 hours long. Once again, Denyse was friendly and I like her integrative approach but overall we do not recommend nor will be returning.

Dynese's work is simply magic. As a young girl growing into my adulthood, I've struggled with…read morehormonal acne off and on for years. Before finding Dynese, I had lost all hope and confidence because of my stubborn acne. Not only do I see results immediately after going in for a facial, but Dynese's products that I use at home have consistently proven to be effective. If you struggle with acne, you know how vulnerable it can feel. What sets Dynese apart from others is this: she never pushes you to spend unnecessary money on products or treatments. She also kindly offers advice on other potential factors (diet, hygiene, stress levels, etc.) that could be effecting your skin to get to the root cause of your unique acne, instead of only offering temporary solutions. She is extremely personable, GENUINE, kind, and incredibly dedicated to her practice and clients. In my experience-- nothing, and I mean not a single product on the market, can out perform Dynese's. She's truly the best and I could not recommend her more. :)

She pointed out my facial muscles and how one affects the other. We talked and bonded about friends, babies, dogs, ect I felt so comfortable and she has a light hand- nothing hurt... We even touched an area on my lip that wrinkles when I say W WORDS. I use dysport rather than botox- even on that lip area. Now when I smile my upper lip doesn't disappear!! Which was a pleasant surprise. I will continue to use her and I highly recommend her!!

The weird thing is that I made an appt 3 months ago and no one told me they were going to close. They were trying to schedule me with someone else in Alameda but I will not go with anyone else but Lisa. Very disappointed with how this closure was handled. I am going to update this review as Dr Rex Barrett reached out to me as he told his staff to reach out to let us know the location was closing unfortunately I never received a call from the staff which is disappointing and the blame of the staff for not doing their job. The fact that Dr Barrett reached out with explanation shows a lot of dignity and respect so I'm updating this review as I was so happy while this location in Brentwood was open. I found Lisa on IG so I'm going to schedule appt with her at her new location. Thank you

The young lady that helped me book my next appointments was ultra sweet and professional! I see other reviews regarding wait time but my appointment was on point so I just wanted to share my experience. Fast forward a year, I schedule an appt via their website, I called to confirm the appointment the day prior and they tell me I don't have an appointment even though I had a text confirmation, bizarre. Didn't want to deal with it at the time so I put it on the back burner. Fast forward a few months, I make another appointment online, this time I schedule a first thing in the morning appointment time to prevent that ridiculous delay. I have new insurance so I also entered that on the portal. Set the day and time, I get a text that says they've received my request for an appointment, they're going to verify my new insurance and I'll get a confirmation text once my appointment is set in stone. I received 2 confirmation text after that that I'm good to go. I arrived to my appointment and the front desk says they've aren't in network with Aetna PPO and I'd be a cash patient ?!?!? It's a PPO plan not an HMO plan so I'm unsure why I'd be a private pay patient- either way 3 strikes you're out. This place needs to get it together.

I am going to share my experience of attempting to purchase. The Beauty Facials, which are $185, I…read morescheduled two appointments for the same day. One was canceled at 6:30am and another at 7:30. Both 4 hours before the appointment. I asked to reschedule due to the last-minute cancelation, but she never responded. One reservation was for someone who is on Yelp Elite, and the other person is heading back to the East Coast on Jan 2nd. Also, the refund of the two $25 deposits would take 5-7 business days. I ended up disputing the charges with my credit card company and got the money back immediately. Moral of the story is eventhough you schedule your appointment window, pay for the deposits and put in requests to take time off from work, you're still at the mercy of the business owner and when she decides to work.

About an hour before the first appointment, I got a message that the masseuse was sick and we needed to reschedule. I felt that was very unprofessional, but I still decided to leave it as that. Then an hour later, my friend gets the same message. It seemed pretty odd that she didn't message us at the same time but basically we both felt like our appointments were replaced, or she forgot to close that slot and cancelled our appointments because she may have had plans. Even after all that, we still decided to see if we could do another day. The lady messaged us back saying if she feels better, she will reach out to us to set another appointment. Well, we never heard back. This was something that we were both looking forward to and for whatever reason, other than what was communicated, we weren't able to enjoy our Christmas gifts.
