They helped me work through a tricky rental situation-- two moves in one week to and from New York during the busiest moving week of the year-- in a way that saved me money and made the whole experience much more pleasant. I have used other Uhaul locations and other truck rental facilities (Home Depot and Lowes) in the past but will never go anywhere but No Hurts for future truck rentals. The truck itself was brand new (only 700 miles on it), and the rental process was super convenient. We picked up before hours (at 6am) and dropped off after hours (around 10pm) and were able to navigate both processes smoothly using the Uhaul app. Candace walked me through the process and checked in with me during the rental to make sure things were going smoothly. Both Candace and Judy were extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with! This place has my highest recommendation and made a grueling moving process much more pleasant!

After renting a vehicle from this company, the car was towed while still containing our personal belongings, including high-value electronics. We acknowledge that the vehicle was messy due to family use; however, we did not abandon the vehicle and fully intended to clean it. The condition of a car does not eliminate a rental company's responsibility to exercise reasonable care over a customer's personal property or to provide an opportunity for retrieval. When attempting to recover our belongings, we received multiple conflicting explanations from the owner. Statements were made and later denied, timelines shifted, and explanations were offered that did not align with one another. This pattern of inconsistent communication made it extremely difficult to understand what occurred and raised serious concerns. We were also nearly charged $300 for tow reimbursement, despite having a deposit already on file, which was not initially acknowledged during the discussion. This further contributed to concerns regarding accuracy and transparency. Because the electronics remain missing and no clear, consistent account has been provided, a police report has been filed, including a request to pursue charges related to the handling and loss of our property. This step was taken only after repeated attempts to resolve the matter directly. Additional concerns: The tow of the vehicle was not communicated to us at the time it occurred; we became aware only after being contacted with questions about the keys. Photographs taken after the tow appear to show personal items still inside the vehicle, which contradicts later explanations regarding when or where the items went missing. When this discrepancy was raised, we were told follow-up would occur with a third party, but no further communication was provided. This review is not about vehicle cleanliness. It is about duty of care, accurate communication, and accountability. Based on our experience, those standards were not met. Future customers should remove all personal items immediately and document all interactions carefully.

Lacy's sent two tankers from their facility in Pendricktown, NJ to the customer's location in Newark, NJ, which is about a four hour round trip from Lacy's facility. Their drivers arrived there at 5 am which means they had to leave Lacy's facility at 2 am or 3 am. And they stayed all day. The first day was a dry run. The two tanker trucks they provided came back to Lacy's empty because the client in Newark was not prepared for them. However, the guys at Lacy's never complained and made zero fuss about it. They instead moved their very busy schedules around to make sure I still had services the next day. Day two, three, and four were much more successful. And even though Lacy's was not planning on providing additional tankers past the first day, they scrambled to re-arrange their schedules to ensure I had service. I highly recommend Lacy's Express. I then spoke with the gentleman named Mike on the phone, and the guy was friendly and professional the whole time. I showed up with my truck and tow carrier the day it was due and he helped me remove the carrier I told him we weren't finished unloading the truck all the way. He said that it was no problem if I needed it a few more hours to just keep it. Well I thought to myself man I am going to get killed on late fee charges. Wound up keeping the truck until 10 a.m. the next morning expecting a huge bill. Walked in Mike greeted me again and I told him I was sorry about keeping the truck so late. He said no worries, walked out to inspect the truck real quick. I waited maybe a minute and he was back in said he finalized my paperwork and told me I could go. I questioned him saying shouldn't there be an additional fee and he goes no we are good. I was so pleased with this service. I highly recommend this rental place to any and all. They are quick and know what they are doing and are genuinely helpful especially after the treatment I received from uhaul and our moving company. Just wanted to say thanks to Mike for taking the time and helping make the move back up here a lot easier.
