Gilpin is the best and we love the good people who take such good care of our dear parents.

I have had zero luck finding a primary care physician in Bear and I am thrilled to find this practice! The office is clean and spacious. I was greeted promptly and taken back to an exam room very quickly after finishing my initial paper work. The doctor came in and did her assessment and I was completely blown away by how honest and personable Dr. Chaudhry was. She was extremely knowledgeable and I appreciated her saying she wouldn't prescribe any medication that she wouldn't give her children. She is very in-depth with her patients and leaves no stone unturned while asking the necessary questions to properly diagnose. I brought my daughter in the same day for a sick visit to be seen by her husband, pediatrician Dr. Nazar. He was equally wonderful and knowledgeable and I look forward to bringing her back to see him. There is nothing like bringing your child to a GREAT doctor. I'm very pleased. The entire experience was the best and most refreshing doctor experience I've ever had. I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone who lives in New Castle County!

I feel the need to explain why I gave Cadia pike creek 5 stars so I have an update : My mom has been at Cadia for 2 weeks now. We've had the most wonderful experience. Every single person that works there that we've experienced has been like a dream come true . The assigned social worker Tarayja and the centers Director have been amazing. We've seen complete professionalism kindness, and fantastic skilled care from all of her therapists, nurses, aides, administration & every single form of support staff. I must admit I was concerned at first knowing my mom had to go to a rehabilitation center, but it's been the best thing that's ever happened to her. Cadia skillfully understood her diagnosis then helped us understand what's needed to help her progress and I see her progressing. One big thing that amazed me is that each person in every area of her care collaborate every few days. They have meetings together to discuss how to better help a resident & they also meet with us the family to share their concerns and analysis. I actually visit my mom every day and I stay at length and I've watched them treat every person with respect, dignity and completely thorough care. They even offer me food or drinks if I'm there while they eat ! I love it there and because of all of the genuinely caring people that work there, the atmosphere is bright cheery, conducive to health and recovery. My mother who's never been a social person has enjoyed going to bingo, going to the rosary prayers offered for folks who have that faith. They cater to everyone in all different facets. There is a daily calendar full of lovely things for them to get involved in ( today my mom had a cooking class with fresh baked cookies they got to eat afterwards ). She loved it ! I feel so blessed to have been given the peace of mind Cadia offers not only for me as a daughter but also the peace for my mom and every resident I've spoken to. Please don't hesitate to come here for care if you or a loved one needs it. From my whole heart, I'd like to thank each person who works at Cadia, for all of their wonderful care of not only my mom, but for all residents.

I absolutely love my doctor (Feinberg) who puts up with a lot from me. If I was just rating him,…read moreI'd give him 5 stars. Their office is the problem. It wasn't always but for the past 3 or 4 years (possibly ever since Crozier was bought out?) it is a miracle if I can get someone on the phone after holding for half an hour, after which time they now force you to leave a msg or hang up. This is a problem mostly with the phone option of "other" which would include Suboxone refills, which is an important part of Feinberg's practice. Also any other narcotic refills, calling to say you're running late, insurance issues, etc. I don't ever receive a return phone call letting me know that they are working on it or got my message - I just have to call around to the 3 or 4 pharmacies that are either where I live now or uses to live for an Rx to see if it has been called in and wait a week or two to hear back about an authorization for a test- that they make at their Crozier testing centers (bow over an hour away from me in Blue Bell) unless you know to ask them to ask for a specific imaging or whatever business. The best and worst experiences I had, however, were with the after hours answering service. The first time, it was 8 or at night and I was in Atlantic City. I realized I had forgotten one of my medications (I take 9... it's understandable) and it is one that if i miss by only a few hours I have incredibly scary and uncomfortable side effects from. We called the office and the woman who answered, an after hours answering service worker, went above and beyond for me. She somehow got in touch with Dr. F and I was able to make it with 30 seconds to spare at the pharmacy. That was years ago. A couple months ago, instead of my thyroid medication I take 50mcg of, I was given an Rx of the thyroid medication I take 5mcg of in a 50mcg dose. The generic names are almost identical. I had been taking it for a few days before I realized and was really freaked out about it. They had closed the office at 4 that day (a holiday Friday so Tuesday was the next time the office would be open) so I got the after hours person. I was literally crying, realizing I hadn't been taking my medication for close to a week and had been taking 20x the amount of the other. I have no idea how this happened but I was pleading and begging with her. Could she have been nicer? Yes. Was what happened her fault? No. She said she was not allowed to contact the doctors unless it was life and death and that she would get fires otherwise. Quite a policy change.

I went through all of the testing and processed to prep for the surgery. A week before the scheduled surgery date my insurance company denied the claim. Dr. Fishers assistant told me she was filing an appeal with the insurance company. She said it would take 6-12 months to hear anything back, and also told me not to call for updates, she would call me when she heard something. I called a few times, regardless, to see if there was any progress. Just after the 12 month mark on my final call, Dr. Fishers assistant apologized and told me she had never actually filed the appeal and I had to meet with him again to start the whole process over. When I met with Dr. Fisher he did not accept any responsibility, and told me it was my fault. He said I should have been doing a better job checking in with his assistant throughout that year, and basically washed his hands of the whole thing. I didn't return to see him after this.
