My daughter has been dancing here two years. Not really having ever trained in dancing, she felt lost the first 2 months and actually wanted to quit Jonathan's hiphop class. But I wouldn't let her give up and sure enough... she's now much more self-assured and has made dancing a part of her life. She eventually connected with Herman's sunny personality. Jonathan is quiet, calm, business like, but never gave up on her even though she acted like she didn't want to be there at first. Whereas Herman's personality brought my daughter out of her shell more. She's even taking Jazz classes with two other teachers at New Vibe. The jazz teachers are more detailed, trying to drill the basics into the girls, whereas the hiphop teachers are a little too lenient on precision!!!! I guess that's good for kids who may want to dance hiphop for fun. The hiphop teachers are more strict when they're dealing with their Elite Dance Team since they have to compete in public. The elite team is still new and inexperienced, but if Herman and Jonathan train a few more incredible dancers, the team is going to be dangerous in competition because those two teachers have "sick" dance and choreography skills. read more
