I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it! We've found delicious Korean food in Florence. Whenever I…read morehave a Korean food craving, I have to make it myself... but, lately this heatwave keeps me far away from my kitchen. Thank goodness we found Rosticceria On! The cute Korean rosticceria with wonderfullly nice service is located right near the main train station (Santa Maria Novella).
The menu offers limited choices but, I can tell you that we've tried everything... EVERYTHING and it's all fingerlicking good. The place is small, but offers various seating options. Here are my recommendations: bulgogi - marinated beef with rice (€8.90), bibimbap - fresh marinated vegetables served with rice (€8.90), jap chae - glass noodles with vegetables and meat (€8.90), dakgangjung - spicy/sweet marinated chicken pieces (€4.90/6 pieces or €6.90/10 pieces) and the tteokbokki - spicy rice cake (€5.90).
They added some summer drinks: iced american coffee (€3.50), pomegranate iced tea (€3.90), plum iced tea (€3.90), cherry iced tea (€3.90) to the menu and a korean dessert specialty patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red bean).
I agree with one of the reviewers that if you do not like spicy food, the choices are limited to the small menu, but there are definitely non-spicy items to try like the dumplings, jap chae and meat dishes. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for some Korean food!
