We visited a family member who lives in the nursing home section of Trillium Woods. He started out…read morein the assisted living section, was in the transitional care area, and now the nursing home section. The complex is huge and we have appreciated that he has been able to stay at Trillium Woods as he has aged and his health care needs have increased. We used to eat with him in the restaurant when he was in assisted living. It was like going to an upscale restaurant. It was nothing like "nursing home food." The menu would change and provided the residents with a wonderful selection of options from which to choose. The activities are many and varied. We have appreciated that when the residents go on outings that the staff photographs them and shares them on Facebook. We have enjoyed seeing our loved one at different places, and seeing how happy and engaged he is with other residents and in the community. There is a library for residents and I was happy to see that he uses it regularly. At our visit, he shared that he had just read a book about Robert Frost, the poet, and had a new book about the he sinking of the ocean liner RMS Lusitania that occurred on May 7, 1915, during the First World War. Keeping the residents' minds active and encouraging them to read and continue to learn is impressive and needed! The nursing home section is well-maintained, elegant, and welcoming. There are public seating areas, water with lemon slices in it for guests and residents, a puzzle table, t.v. area, and dining area. When we arrived, the cloth napkins were beautifully folded on the table that had a white linen table cloth on it. This is normal...not the exception. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. They treat everyone with dignity and respect. I could only wish that when the time comes that I need nursing care that I could live in such a beautiful, well-maintained facility with top-notch staff and programming in the arts, music, and outings like Trillium Woods offers.

I could give you graphic details and pictures but it's not worth it. They are not worth my time. Thank God everyone saw through the lies and got my mom out safely. Their doctor is worthless and doesn't have a clue how to do his job. Seriously, keep your loved one far away from this company. In the house my mom was in one resident died, then another one died shortly after, then my mom rushed to the ER. I started to fear something fishy was going on. The RN has zero personality and gives you zero confidence in her abilities. I could go on and on but I have said enough. Beware: If you report them to MDH or MAARC, the President will keep you from your family member. I am thankful for Ulissa, Ace, Ann, and Brooklyn. I certainly hope the 4 of you move on to a more reputable company and realize the terrible company you work for. It's a cult-like facility and actually scary. It's an absolute shit show. So glad my mom escaped their cult-like prison safely. They actually told me that Red Robin would be her home permanently. Then they pulled a stunt saying it would be shut down and moved her to the more expensive house to steal her money. The other house never shut down and the other 2 residents my mom lived with still live there. They wanted my mom's money. Thank you to the Guardian and the Ombudsman. You saw their true colors. My mom is free and safe and I get to love on her non-stop. The staff at her new facility are amazing and so understanding and loving. Night and Day Difference! Stay away please!

While of course there are some wonderful, hard-working people here that I appreciate so much, for the most part, my grandma was neglected and did not receive the care or treatment she deserves, especially considering the fact that we paid over $6000 per month for her to live there. I understand being short-staffed and overworked, I am a social worker... However, the way I saw some of the workers treat my grandma was unacceptable. Additionally, they did not provide many of the services that we were paying for them to provide. My grandma was lucky if she got her clothes changed once a week, they rarely did activities with the residents, and they told her "they could not help her" when she asked them to help her dial the phone to make a phone call or turn the TV on, etc. They would say things like "you better eat your meal now because you will not get anything later," and overall were just mean.
