Legacy Home care will not return my unused deposit, nor will they drop a double billing of $70…read more They owe me $170 total. I have notified them by phone five times, I started keeping track of the phone calls after that. 5/8/18 left a message at 4:00, and 5/16/18 at 2:00pm. They have made promises to send me a corrected bill, and have yet to fallow through. I have sent them two certified letters, one on 6/1/18 to business manager Tanya Castillo and Gasna Akselrod NO RESPONSE! I have contacted The Better Business Bureau, they have sent three requests to Legacy Home Care and have not received a reply. Can you believe that?? My wife died April 2nd 2018, I've been asking for a refund for the services that were unused since the middle of April. I'm 84 years old, I receive less than $1200 a month in Social Security a month. The $170.00 is not anything they want to deal with, it's small change. Not to ME! It's 20% of my Social Security check! I've tried the State office which licenses Legacy Home Care, they do not offer help on billing issues. What do I do? If anyone has had similar experiences, or can offer any kind of advice it would be greatly appreciated. Richard Johnson 612-919-5577 Rvictorjohnson@yahoo.com

I chose Global Pointe for the close location to my home as well as the seemingly positive staff and beautiful facility. She moved in Dec 2023 and 3 months later she fell and broke her hip and I moved her out. The memory care staff was not very kind or helpful. They promised my mom would be bathed as she never was at The Kenwood. They did not keep their promise. I don't think her room was cleaned much and I would come and clean her floors. Her bathroom was not cleaned often either. I had to tell staff to do her laundry as it was very stinky and full. Luckily my mom could take care of herself, but needed help and she did not get consistent help. I came almost every day to check on her as the memory care was not very large and she had a huge breakdown when she found out she was locked in, which they charged us extra money as she caused an issue for them. The staff is not trained in dementia and was frequently on their phones and not seemingly interacting much with the elderly clients. Two months after my mom moved in I met with Steve Hoppe, the nursing director, and had some concerns I brought up with my mom and he pretty much ignored them. The food was not really balanced and Sunday the kitchen was closed and they received boxed lunches and dinners. I really regret moving her there as she fell and broke her hip before dinner one night and only one staff person noticed she was not at dinner and went looking for her. She was in pain in her room. The room was cleaned up when I went to her room after she was admitted to the hospital and no accounting of what happened was had. The staff had no idea how it happened and came up with lame excuses. There are no video monitors and no accounting for staff. When someone falls and breaks their hip they are given about a year to live. My mom spent two weeks in the hospital and only the wonderful activities person came to visit. I highly recommend the activity staff there. The director, head of nursing, etc. no one called or seemed to care and when I moved my mom's things out I was kind of ignored. It seems they are barely getting by with staffing. My mom was sometimes fearful there and would call me with recounting of being afraid of staff. One of the nursing staff just stood in my mom's room looking at her when she fell and broke her hip. I would not recommend their memory care as now my mom has good care in another facility finally, but breaking her hip compromised her and she has declined a lot since then and is not in a wheelchair and cannot walk.

it is the biggest regret of my life that I chose Global Point Memory care for my Mom. She was there…read morefor 8 months. She frequently did nor receive basic morning and evening cares and slept in the same clothes for up to three days. Staff rarely interact with residents outside of directions and water is served inconsistently at meals- sometimes multiple meals in a day will not have water. In the last two months Mom was there her sheets were washed once ( she had different sets of sheets with distinct patterns) and had three showers. It is a beautiful facility with cold staff and uncaring administration. There is no monitoring of personal cares. They had a 10% cost of living increase which in their letter informing of the increase linked it the 8 percent increase in social security. They also notified families of significant increases in service costs and several new levels of care which resulted in their highest level of care increasing by almost 4,000 a month without providing definitions of the new levels of service,
