Legacy Home care will not return my unused deposit, nor will they drop a double billing of $70…read more They owe me $170 total. I have notified them by phone five times, I started keeping track of the phone calls after that. 5/8/18 left a message at 4:00, and 5/16/18 at 2:00pm. They have made promises to send me a corrected bill, and have yet to fallow through. I have sent them two certified letters, one on 6/1/18 to business manager Tanya Castillo and Gasna Akselrod NO RESPONSE! I have contacted The Better Business Bureau, they have sent three requests to Legacy Home Care and have not received a reply. Can you believe that?? My wife died April 2nd 2018, I've been asking for a refund for the services that were unused since the middle of April. I'm 84 years old, I receive less than $1200 a month in Social Security a month. The $170.00 is not anything they want to deal with, it's small change. Not to ME! It's 20% of my Social Security check! I've tried the State office which licenses Legacy Home Care, they do not offer help on billing issues. What do I do? If anyone has had similar experiences, or can offer any kind of advice it would be greatly appreciated. Richard Johnson 612-919-5577 Rvictorjohnson@yahoo.com

If you hire someone for in home night care, make sure that you request to sign off on how many times and for how long you were up in the night each morning before the Aide leaves. We paid $2k per week for 8 PM - 8 AM care. If the Aide tells their management that they did not get 5 hours of sleep during that time period Baywood will charge you additional money - which is ridiculous in my opinion when you are already paying $2k per week. Also, there is a lack of consistency in who is coming into your home - someone always different that you have to get acclimated each time they arrive which is challenging. Some concerns with people not coming at their scheduled time as well. While my mom said that the Aides were pleasant, I would not recommend Baywood Home Care.

We were assured that improvement was/is occurring but we did not see the fruit of these apparent efforts. We have concern for others seeking care. They lie and tear families apart. The most horrific experience I have ever had! They should be shut down for the horrible, terrible things they did and the lies they made up. Thank God everyone realized and saw what they were doing and my mom is safe and out of there and I see her every single day. They purposely kept me from my mom. They are cruel, heartless, and I wonder how they sleep at night. There are a few nice staff, but most are 2-faced and lie. My mom is no longer being held hostage in their homes. I could give you graphic details and pictures but it's not worth it. They are not worth my time. Thank God everyone saw through the lies and got my mom out safely. Their doctor is worthless and doesn't have a clue how to do his job. Seriously, keep your loved one far away from this company. In the house my mom was in one resident died, then another one died shortly after, then my mom rushed to the ER. I started to fear something fishy was going on. The RN has zero personality and gives you zero confidence in her abilities. I could go on and on but I have said enough. Beware: If you report them to MDH or MAARC, the President will keep you from your family member. I am thankful for Ulissa, Ace, Ann, and Brooklyn. I certainly hope the 4 of you move on to a more reputable company and realize the terrible company you work for. It's a cult-like facility and actually scary. It's an absolute shit show. So glad my mom escaped their cult-like prison safely. They actually told me that Red Robin would be her home permanently. Then they pulled a stunt saying it would be shut down and moved her to the more expensive house to steal her money. The other house never shut down and the other 2 residents my mom lived with still live there. They wanted my mom's money. Thank you to the Guardian and the Ombudsman. You saw their true colors. My mom is free and safe and I get to love on her non-stop. The staff at her new facility are amazing and so understanding and loving. Night and Day Difference! Stay away please!
