They have a covered pavillion where you can have a picnic but no BBQ grills. They have trashcans for you and even have unlocked restrooms for you to use. Theres a sink to use to wash off dishes and they even have water fountains. Theres a basketball court also with 2 nets and theres 2 balls for you to use. Im even thinking about playing some street hockey on it one day. Theres plenty of grass to run around and they have benches all around the park to sit on and it offers plenty of natural shade from the huge trees. Overall nice little spot to chill at and soak up some nice weather!

I attended a volleyball tournament on 2/24/18 which was way to big for this place to handle. Parking was very limited due to it being over crowded. Cost to get in was $5 which is the avarage price for volleyball tournament. However the air condition was not working for most of the day. With hundreds of people in this place and the outside temperature in the low 80's, it was VERY HOT. They had no portable fan blowing nor would they open any of the emergency doors to get some kind of air flow. I guess they wouldn't open the emergency doors because they wanted to make sure they collect that $5 entry fee without anyone sneaking in from another opened door. Now that it's so hot in here I go to buy something to drink. I order a fountain Diet Coke and it was flat. I tell the clerk that it's flat and she says they can replace it with a can Diet Coke. Ok great I'll do that then. I get back to my seat and someone tells me don't drink that can soda because it's out of date. The date on that can soda was 4/10/17. Keep in mind today is 2/24/18. Finally the air condition comes on around 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. No options to refund anyone of their $5 entry fee due to not having any air condition on a hot 80+ degree day. Money the root of all evil. What greedy people here. Hope we're not playing here next year!!!!

My son loved getting to playtime. A lot of the training in this program is actually playing the game. This was my son's favorite part. He loves basketball and Louisiana Kings has given him the opportunity to play and improve. I have been to this facility twice in the last month for Zulu krewe parties. The Zulu Social Aid…read moreand Pleasure Club is the largest predominantly African-American Krewe in New Orleans which was initially a benevolent aid society. The origin of the Zulus dates back to the early 1900s when the Mardi Gras celebrations themselves were segregated. In 1949, Louis Armstrong was chosen as King and saw it as an honor despite the belief by some that parading black face further influenced racial stereotypes. Anyone who has been to "the parade" on Mardi Gras Day can attest the krewe of Zulu, their elected characters and riders REALLY know how to have a good time. The partying, though year round, typically intensifies 60 days before Fat Tuesday. The convocation center has quite the reputation as well. This renovated gymnasium was formally known as "The Barn" at Xavier University. There are three nearby parking lots and the building is rather spacious. The last event (1/16/16) was easily able to accommodate more than 2,500 guests with tables, chairs, dance floor and a stage. A good time was certainly had by all. It seems, the building is rented out for private events including concerts and sporting events. I would not go so far as to say it is nicer or as nice as renting hotel space for a cocktail event, but it is undoubtedly a more affordable option. Particularly if you can stomach looking at those black and gold chairs up top.

It is basically a playground & baseball diamond with a few tables. It has lights so you can play…read morebaseball at night. Sign says no dogs, but I think it only applies to the baseball diamond. Signs say no street parking but there is no parking lot. Some of the ground is a little tore up, like some construction is starting. I do not like that there are no tables or benches near the playground, they are closer to the baseball diamond. No drinking fountain or restrooms. Not far from Beach Boulevard, I was here at 8AM with my dog, no one was there & we did not stay long.
