If you need any help, staff are always very quick to help, and dont tend to push products on you, they really do try to help. There are always lots of special deals, for instance, buy two pairs of jeans for £25 etc. Prices are reasonable, as most items they sell are either their own D2 label, or designer brands. The shop has good lighting, and music is played at a reasonable level. There are 2 changing rooms to the back of the store, and there are lots of accessories by the till.

At the back of the store is the footwear. The store is often untidy, with boxes in the way, clothing on the floor, and it takes the staff a while to clear it up. The staff can also be quiet rude, and often wander off to chat or to mess about with some clothing racks and you can be at a till for a while before they notice you are there.

When this 'simply food' store openend up in Braintree I was very pleasedand i have not been dissapointed. The quality and range is all it should be and exactly what one expects from M&S. What really makes this particular store shine is the staff. All staff (without fail) are courteous and helpful.if you are having trouble finding something they will go out of their way to help and or find alternatives. The manager is often to be found on the shop floor, chatting with and advising staff and customers alike. On the tills, they are so friendly and chattyit really is a pleasure to shop there!
