He's had occupational therapists and physical therapy (riding a stationary bike for 15 minutes a day) which are worth mentioning because they are the only services he's received. We told the staff we needed stairs work but they brought in a block to work with so we're not impressed. His occupational therapist also expressed his racist views, he will be reported. The food has been terrible and he's not eating and he's losing weight which they keep commenting on. When I visited last week, I was greeted with "You can't come in" which I know, I was dropping off a couple of comfort items. I know that these places are on lock down but the attitude wasn't needed. So, not sure where the quality facilities are but this isn't it.

My grandma just started her (temporary) stay here for injury rehabilitation. The whole idea is that…read moreby staying in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), she will get more PT sessions in per day, and thus her recovery will get a good starting boost. I'm writing this review on her behalf. She isn't a fan of the food, but understands that it's temporary for her. What's REALLY concerning is: - She says this SNF is very, very dirty. - She says it smells like urine throughout. - She needs to be up and moving as much as possible. After her (presumed) first walk of the day, she asked to get up and do it again in a few hours. The response was that it wasn't possible, the staff "were too busy for that". Note -- her surgeon AND hospitalist emphasized that the point of a SNF was doing her exercise regimen 3x daily and having staff to help her improve her mobility at other times of day......... Hi there, ICC staff, have you read her doctor's notes and treatment plan? Are you planning to simply not follow that plan? I'm honestly really worried that my grandma's health will get worse in her stay here. If the staff can't be bothered even when the patient asks for assistance....... Will they bother to make sure the patient is using their incentive spirometer, so that their very high risk elderly patient doesn't get pneumonia? Will they bother to take care and measure an elderly diabetic patient's blood glucose? Will update this review after her stay is over. For my grandma's sake, I hope that that the impression so far is not truly what this place is like. Seriously hoping this turns out to be a fantastic SNF. Fingers crossed.

After…read moreexperiencing severe Covid few years ago, I started experiencing persistent breathing problems, sleep issues and severe anxiety along with aggravation in back pain. All the heart and lung scans, and blood tests requested by conventional doctors were negative and I was asked to just live with the breathing issues which were told to be common after Covid and take over counter pain killers for my back pain. I didn't want to take medicine all my life and solve the root case. These issues did not let me have any restorative sleep each night and also affected my work and left me no energy to take care of my young kids when schools opened up after pandemic and everything moved "on-site". I did visit a Chiropractor in Redmond three years ago who hurt me and pinched a nerve in my right shoulder and I was little wary trying out Chiropractic treatment again. After a bout of TMJ recently coupled with so many health concerns which my conventional doctors seemed to give up on, I found Dr Ben while querying ChatGPT for skilled Chiropractor on the East side and felt peaceful and restored right after the first session with him. I walked away feeling less blurry in my left eye and felt lot of my anxiety melt away after the first adjustment he performed on my neck and upper back. It felt like a miracle! I see him twice a week since last 8 weeks and most of the issues I was experiencing are resolved or are on the path of resolution. I get restorative sleep all night and I can engage more with my family and life on day to day basis and can do things I wasn't able to do during last few years. I wholeheartedly recommend his clinic to anyone who wants to regain their energy, calm, and joy in life. P.S. I remember the Physician Assistant at one of the doctor's office tell me three years ago - "There are many people in Seattle area who have sensitive back due to the cold weather and have breathing issues after Covid and it's a part of life and you need to use steam to breathe better and use hot packs to activate the tense back muscles and when you wake up." I would encourage all those folks in Seattle area who have back issues or breathing issues to check out Dr Ben's Clinic and give Chiropractic a try as sometimes aligning the nerves, joints and spine can help those too :)

I'm not sure how to rate a hospital especially when you are there because of the worst of…read morecircumstances and you know that everyone working is trying their hardest to make sure that the most terrible situation doesn't emerge. I know Harborview as the region's best trauma center, and I knew when the call came that I needed to be present because of a situation that it was not a good situation. So, let's keep with the basics. Parking was incredibly easy to find. If I had one concern it was that because there's a few other hospitals were parking isn't convenient. You either end up so far away from the emergency room that the walk over feels like a lifetime or you end up in some convoluted location that it takes an additional ten minutes to find where you are. Harborview offers a variety of parking options from valet to self-park which is incredibly handy. The hospital itself is very clean. I still associate hospitals with very sterile environments - the white walls, the white floor, the bright flourescent lights, the antiseptic smell that permeates the air like a horrid perfume you can't quite escape. So when I see a hospital that tries to break my strong impression I appreciate the small gestures from the light green paint to the chair rail that made the space feel less like an institute and slightly more inviting. I found the emergency waiting room and check-in process to be a little confusing. When you're a visitor and trying to get in and find out status all the different stations can be a bit daunting. I never ended up at any of these stations because the social worker quickly found the waiting group and we were eventually taken to the ICU. The social worker was great. Patient, soft spoken, understanding she helped the process immensely. I do not envy her job. The ICU was nice. The waiting area was conveniently laid out so that groups of people could gather comfortably without rearranging furniture. They were testing out a new system that I guess will one day give status of different rooms so you can check if your particular person is in their room, in surgery, or any other number of statuses. The nurses were patient and kind. I know everyone has different experiences and going to the hospital in any capacity - unless you work there - is never going to be pleasant. I appreciated the attentiveness that Harborview showed us that day and the kindness that they offered.

My father died of death induced by dehydration after having had a stroke and then administered medication that we told the staff he could not take. The medication made him a vegetable. So, we watched him dehydrate to death and had the topper of a chief nurse yelling at my father and pinching him so hard she dug her nails into his skin and made this traumatized man weep! She did this in front of family members and they were horrified and traumatized by her behavior as a result. This occurred all in the highly acclaimed neuro unit. Then, when my father would not die fast enough they transferred him to the most disgusted, urine soaked nursing home from hell where he finally died of dehydration the next day. Pure hell!!! It was a nightmare that I wish on no one! I often hear that harborview is so spectacular but, that must have been some time in the past or for others. This is the second family member I've had die under their experimental care by juvenile doctors. In my experience, this institution is a pathetic, embarrassing, scourge on the face of medicine! Be warned! Beware!
