Where do I begin? Made an appointment with him on a Sunday for the Wednesday several days later,…read moreand he texted me that same day (on a Sunday!) to get more detail to best prepare for more appointment. He called when I was free, and in chatting with me he realized that it had been a rough road for me over the last couple of months and was eager to help. He suggested that I actually come into his office the next day instead(!). Fast forward to appt time, he took my lengthy history of sinus issues, persistent coughing, constant congestion, the works. You could almost see the wheels turn as he tried to put the puzzle pieces together to proactively help me with all of my symptoms that I was experience and figure out the best solution to alleviate them for me. He spent 70 minutes with me, listening, talking, allergy testing, asthma testing to get to the bottom of it. In this day and age when doctors cutting appointments short is rampant, it was so refreshing to be heard and to feel like I had an expert in my corner who wanted to help me feel better as much as I did.

Made an appointment with Dr.Dent to have an ear exam for a possible middle ear infection. While on the phone with the receptionist to inquire about this type of exam I was informed the fee would "range" and "fluctuate" depending on the service and could be up to $622 but I would be totally "satisfied" with the service provided. The initial consultation for new clients by the way is $289, regardless of what service you receive that's the standard appointment fee for out-of-pocket visits. Went in for the appointment ( which took only 20 minutes by the way ), Dr.Dent seemed nice enough, scoped my ear canals (quickly), and confirmed it wasn't an ear infection, and sent me on my way. The whole process felt a tad transactional... less about finding answers and more about moving on to the next patient. I guess that's just the standard with most medical practices nowadays. At the front desk, I was billed the full $622. For a 20 minute exam! I paid the bill and went home feeling a bit swindled. Still shocked by the pricing, I called back the next day to ask for a breakdown. $289 for the new patient fee. $333 for the scope. A play on numbers to say the least. Other ear practices charge $150-200 MAX for this type of exam... When on the phone with the receptionist, I was told maybe Dr.Dent would help with a reduction due to the current financial times... Unfortunately this was not the case, I was forwarded to their financial office who basically dismissed my request for assistance and told me the fees are set as they are and there's nothing they can do to help... nothing at all, not even a reduction in the fee despite me being NOT satisfied with the service. Honestly, so disheartened by this practice, not just for the higher than standard pricing, but for the lack of heart in general. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

What makes him stand out is his commitment to his patients--he takes full ownership of their care, making thoughtful decisions rather than automatically referring to specialists. As a concierge patient, I value the time he invests in thinking through issues and offering real, personalized care. They are arguably thee most inefficient, unorganized place on the planet. They lose your records & then lie to you repeatedly trying to cover up their mistakes. The best part is they have you sit on hold for what seems like forever, the whole time a message is playing on a loop that says 'getting to the root cause of your problem for over 30 years' the only thing they get to root of is your check book. They have unlicensed people there giving out medical advice & posing as actual Dr's & when you call then on it they play the shell game where they start playing dumb & shifting around responsibilities & then when you really corner them they will bad mouth the person & say things like 'who told to see that Dr' ? Ummm I don't know, COULD IT BE YOU GUYS ? Hard to believe these folks are not being escorting out of the building in hand cuffs & I am NOT kidding !! After much pressure I got them to admit they had no plan in place me & didn't know what they were doing yet they were more than willing to keep charging me & placating me & manipulating me..And to put a cherry on top they have a receptionist/office manager who's married but flirts with patients & make inappropriate comments & will become angry when rejected & share your personal information with others, again I am NOT JOKING folks !! Bottom line is my opinion they pray on the weak, sick, in-firmed, vulnerable & the desperate - they will tell you anything you want to hear provided you're cutting them checks including they are Christians. When have rare disorders EG Lyme disease & others you've already been run through the ringer & taken advantage of too many times, the last thing you need is someone like these Charlatans simply shattering of whats left of your hope.
