I came to New Leaf Ayurveda a year ago after making my liver very angry with a functional medicine supplement regimen. After trying some gentler Ayurvedic remedies, I came to the conclusion that my body just doesn't want supplements of any kind. So I worked with Nicole and tapped in to my own intuition to achieve a "food as medicine" approach to healing and health. Though I thought I was eating well before (whole foods, paleo), the wisdom of Ayurveda shows that no diet is one size fits all. New Leaf Ayurveda literally saved my life. I came in a little over 2 years ago with severe damage from years of being poisoned by psychiatric drugs. I'd already been off of them for 8 years at that point and had healed quite a bit, especially mentally, but I was still struggling with severe neurological damage, bone damage and other issues caused by those awful neurotoxic drugs.. Nicole takes the time to truly explore what's happening with your body and mind and prepares a protocol specific to your needs. Her protocols, the food, well as abyhanga massages from her and the other amazing practitioners, as well as prescriptive yoga have produced healing I never thought was possible. Allopathic quacks who know nothing about healing told me I was permanently damaged. That was not the case. Ayurveda can heal things that western medicine cannot, including the damage that it causes! I'm grateful every day for NLA. I see a couple of bad reviews from this place, but one is from a client who didn't follow the protocol (healing takes time and full commitment) and the other is from a pharmacist who's main source of information is a pharma funded propaganda site. Finding New Leaf Ayurveda has truly been life changing for me. Nicole is one of the warmest people I have had the pleasure to meet and she has gathered the most wonderful staff. This place is AMAZING! I was having some fairly serious health problems. I had been to see my regular MD several times and was basically told that there was nothing they could do for me, except refer me to a vascular surgeon. A friend told me to give Ayurveda a try. Im sorry but i didn't get the treatment everyone else got apparently. I went to this place after having some health problems. After a consult with Nicole she assured me she knew what was wrong & even assured me she had similar issues. After a 1 hour consult she prescribed me alot of products. I had no reason to doubt her as she seemed very sure of herself. Well over $500 dollars later i walked out of there hopeful with all my pills she gave me. I used everything exactly like planned and after a month noticed nothing had changed if anything maybe got worse. I contacted nicole like she had asked me to and nothing. I contacted the office and they left her a message. She replied 3 days later stating she was sick & stated "i hadnt used the products long enough & added 2 more that she thought i needed. I went in & picked those up like a sucker another $70.00 & big surprise, no change in my health problem. So moral of the story this place is a ripoff i have stopped taking her "products" & still have some just sitting in my cupboard and i feel jipped & ripped off! read more

I was referred by my Ayurvedic Practioner for Abhinga massage, which is 2 hour swedish massage in western terms. However, it was unlike any other massage I had ever received. The work that is done on the feet alone was worth it. And the strokes were not light, they were just enough. Honestly, I dozed off for a few minutes, but then I was very relaxed to enjoy the rest of the massage. PS Being treated for Vata imbalance, nervous system imbalance. The ayurvedic dosha balancing tea at the end of the experience was a nice ending. I left feeling cared for, and wanting to try an ayurvedic facial and skin care consultation. Would you recommend New Leaf to a friend? Definitely not. Was your experience at New Leaf beneficial? No. A year after my first set of treatments at New Leaf I am still in the care of a physician trying to recover from the harm caused by the treatments and recommended lifestyle changes given by the director, Nicole Wilkerson. In your opinion was the director competent to provide the services given? No. The director of New Leaf, Nicole Wilkerson, presented herself to me as a Lyme disease specialist. In fact she is not a licensed healthcare professional. She is not licensed as a certified massage therapist and has no certified medical training. An untrained uncertified practitioner is not allowed to diagnose, give medical advice or medical treatment. I believe that the director did all three of these things in my case with no appropriate training. Other comments: As a Lyme patient extreme caution is needed in choosing a healthcare practitioner. I have learned not to let desperation blind me to the harm treatments can cause, especially if provided by uneducated, uncertified, self-aggrandizing providers. Do you recommend Ayurveda for Lyme patients? There are many very excellent Ayurvedic clinics in the U.S. that have U.S. trained medical professionals providing and overseeing the care of patients. Next time I will choose one of these. I will not do pancha karma again. I believe it is too harsh for a Lyme patient and may increase inflammation. However, medical care directed by an Ayurvedic physician with certified medical training (N.D., M.D., or chiropractic) has been very beneficial for me. read more

Nicole and staff are just amazing ! A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with a hip impingement and was being treated somewhere else. I woke up a week ago, in so much pain! I phoned New Leaf to see if I could get in for a treatment, they got me in at 1pm . By the time I got there I was in tears, Dan greeted me warmly, with care and concern about my pain, then Michele came out sat with me, they surround me with so much care !
