Avoid NJIN at all costs. They lie about pricing and scam patients. Before my appointment, I was explicitly told my out-of-pocket cost "patient responsibility" would be $0. Based on that representation, I proceeded with the MRI. Afterward, I received a bill for $500+. When I followed up, I learned that they never actually contacted my insurance company to verify coverage, despite telling me they had. I called four separate times to try to resolve this. Each time, I was told that someone would call me back to review the error. No one ever did. The lack of follow-through and accountability was extremely frustrating. Especially since had they have been upfront about pricing, I would've chosen a different imaging provider. Adding insult to injury, I was also informed that they were sending my claim to collections, even though I was waiting on them to respond to my requests to adjust the bill based on their staff providing incorrect information. Adding to my concern, the MRI itself took about 10 minutes, which felt unusually fast. Given the billing issues and failure to verify insurance, this raises questions about the thoroughness and reliability of the NJ imaging network. Transparent pricing, accurate insurance verification, and basic follow-up are not optional in healthcare. This experience showed a serious lack of professionalism. Incompetent. I had an xray and MRI at there facilities. I ask for cd's for the doctor. They told me they would be ready 10 minutes after my MRI. When I finished I was informed that the cd burner was not working and told to come back tomorrow. I ask if they would be ready and was told yes. I ask fir a number to call and make sure they were ready. Two days later I called to make sure they were ready. It took me 20 minutes to get through and get an answer. The answer was that the machine was working! Not my question, I ask if the discs were ready. I was told they would have to contact the center again and they would be ready. I arrived to pick up the discs and only one was ready. I was told they didn't know and I would have to wait 10 minutes foe the other disc, making me late for my doctor's appointment. read more

Like calling IRS? You'll love NJ Imaging. The worst phone system of them all. I was there last week and they ask me all the same questions FOUR times. Do have a computer? Am I an established patient? Asked 4 times for my height. I was 6,0 last week but today I'm 4,11. Are you kidding? Maybe dumb doctors were sold a bill of goods by MyChart or maybe they went to college to get stupid. I will avoid. Inside is OK with techs. Get X-rays at Immedicenter of any doc-in-a box. I am looking elsewhere now. read more

By some miricele I arrived five minutes before the.... ( you need to arrive 15 before your appointment time ) time. The official appointment was at 8:05 the 15 minutes before time is 7:50 and I arrived at 7:45. I go to sign in and see 20 people BEFORE me on the list. Ummmmmmmmmmm..... I have the first appointment. The nasty person behind the plexiglass said to sign in there's people before you. No..... they are after me . IDK why I was required to make an appointment? If they have walk ins l probably would have been better off to just walk in and the wait is shorter too. You don't have to go through the lengthy appointment process of call, text documentation, respond to texts ...many many many texts, emails etc. At this point I am going to be here hours and hours. ..... On the plus side the staff that actually does the x-rays and MRIs are really nice and the place is clean. I can't believe that I skipped breakfast and ran to get here. Never again!!! If you are here just for x-rays just walk in don't bother to make an appointment. read more

IMPORTANT PARKING INFO: There's a big parking deck next to this building across from their ambulatory entrance. This facility validates parking IF you've received services here!!! You enter straight through the ambulatory entrance and the imaging center door is first one on your right. Plenty of waiting chairs and 2 TVs. Big place. I could pay out of pocket and there were fast appointment times, which is why i have chosen to get 2 MRIs done here. Unfortunately the amount of errors on the actual MRI report from my most recent scan are both glaring and horrific. Whoever filled out the report must have copy-pasted information from the last one, specifically the information about WHO ordered my MRI. My first MRI was ordered by "Dr O", my most recent MRI was ordered by "Dr K". Why is Dr. O's name all over an MRI he did not order? I have attempted to get this fixed. Dr K's office has attempted to get this fixed (for over a week now). I am scheduled for a spinal fusion and I will not be able to get a medically necessary surgery if Dr Ks office does not receive an accurate report. Now NJIN has sent them the report riddled with mistakes. Dr. Ks office has asked NJIM to fix it to no response. I dont understand why NJIN was so free and open with files at first, but then like fort knox once notified of a mistake. NJIN has sent my medical information, a whole report riddled with stuff, to Dr. O, a dr I have only seen once in my entire life. I have gotten an email from his office, confused, because they got a report the never ordered. So not only is the information on the report incorrect, but my health information was given to someone who did not have my consent to access this specific report. I have tried all day to get this problem fixed, each time just met with being told I need to give more information. I have given my full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, emergency contact phone number, doctors full name phone number and fax. I'd send NJIN a picture of my ID at this point I just want this fixed. If Dr Ks office does not get this corrected I cannot get life changing surgery. I'm truly disgusted with how myself and Dr K's office staff have been treated. If I could leave a - star I would. They are a bunch of liars! Called about my insurance authorization was told per ins company I didn't need one there would be a $800+ payment due to my deductible . I paid that only to find out that it will not go to the deductible because authorization was needed and NJIN was told this. They just decided to take my money and not do their jobs. Now they are lying about it when the insurance company has a recording. At this point I cannot even get a call back from them Stay away!!!!! read more

I like their processing and scheduling of xrays and ctscans and the promptness of reports, but trying to talk to a human being who can answer you is impossible. You are diverted to a call center in the Philippines where the people don't have much information on the NJIN facility in the U.S. You can never talk to the staff at the actual facility. They don't have a listed phone number. read more

My doctor ordered a left breast ultrasound to be done on me and they refused to do it, saying I needed a monogram. They kept saying I refused the monogram but I didn't, my doctor wasn't available at the moment to update my script for a monogram to be done. If a patient walks in there with a script from their doctor, what is requested on the script should be done. I left there with nothing done and my morning wasted. read more

I totally have had it after trying for 4 years. most of the staff have attitude and it's clear they don't care. they don't think that we are going there scared mostly of what might come at us as a surprise after we do the various types of testing. The last straw for me was when my test results came abnormal and I tried multiple ways to find an appointment snd I was not getting any help. I chose to drive an hour to get an appointment right away. I booked my appointment for 4 pm at 2:36 pm and I drive there. when I got there I found out that they canceled my appointment without getting any text or call. when I asked why was I not told the staff member said I have it here in my system we called you and texted you this morning. I said how can you do that if I scheduled it at 2:36pm and I showed her the last message I got which was confirming my appointment. then she offers me another that was more than 40 days away. They do deserve a ONE STAR!!! Nothing more. I definitely will not be going there for anything. I called over a month ago to make an appointment for a test. While taking all my information. They continued to schedule. Prior to the appointment they send you an email and text message to confirm and do paperwork. Today was my appointment. Made changes to my work schedule to attend my appointment. I go there sign in. And someone else walks in after me and they take care of her first. Then they call me up. I give them my insurance card. The lady says "oh we don't take your insurance" I ask why they didn't say that when I made the appointment. She say "oh well not my problem". Very unprofessional!!! DONT GO THERE!!!!! Had my xray done by Nancy. Very professional, lovely person who made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The very next week I needed to have an MRI ordered by an Orthopedic and the very same day I got a call from the Imaging to schedule me that evening. The person (I didn't get her name) was super easy to really push this appointment through. That is how accommodating they are. My Technologist Martina was very serious, she asked questions as to the problem I was having and was very professional and really helped ease the anxiety by explaining everything. She gave me the disk needed for the doctor afterwards. This place is really top notch and I wouldn't go anywhere else since it is the best. read more

Scammers be careful!!! Stay away!! They will steal from you and there is nothing you can do about it. I Paid out of pocket for my MRI because my insurance would not cover it. They then billed my insurance anyway so they could charge me a higher price and I end up getting a bill in the mail for the difference. Spent several hours on the phone with the billing department and I was told it would get resolved and it's been months and still hasn't. It's extremely aggravating. Very nice and helpful staff.They never ask me before the test to make a payment because of my high deductible and coinsurance :) They send a bill instead and I like it. Waiting area is spacious and clean, with water fountain , restroom and TV. It's easy to make an appointment and they have flexible business hours. They refuse to update a scheduled appointment of the delay. The two female techs at the MRI machine zone are horrific. I wouldn't even send an enemy to this place. They kept poking me over and over and over again... and no bandage was given for the bleeding points they cause. The pain and suffering they caused are unforgivable. Avoid this place. read more

Yesterday, I needed to go to NJIN for the first time for a series of tests. Not only was it easy to access, with a beautiful parking lot, it was an absolutely wonderful experience; especially for someone who had not had her morning coffee yet. The building is beautiful, the offices and exam rooms are large, open, and airy; with minimal decorations, which create a very calming atmosphere for the patient. All areas of the facility were spotless also, which is important to me personally, as I have no immune system. I arrived several moments prior to my apt. time as requested and a wonderful woman greeted me very nicely at the desk. All personnel, that I met in all areas of the facilities were happy, outgoing, and considerate of their patients; which helps to calm any nerves the patient may have about a test. This is now my new testing ground. I will go nowhere else in this area. I only gave them 4 stars, because we really, really, really need more doctors to move into Bayonne in the upper level of this building. PLEASE. Bayonne, does not have enough speciality trained physicians, in my opinion, to handle not only the elderly, but rare diseases that are on the NORD listing. I needed to have an MRI done right away. My insurance company let me know that NJIN was an in-network provider. Initially, I was hesitant to call because most of my experiences with non-hospital diagnostic services have been less than stellar. The receptionists are generally gruff and overwhelmed, while the waiting rooms are packed and stuffy. But, NJIN proved me wrong. I called them on a Friday afternoon, crossing my fingers, hoping to get an appointment on a Saturday. A friendly woman picked up the phone and asked me all the pertinent questions. I even put her on hold and she waited! At first, she gave me a date for next week, but after some cajoling, I was able to get exactly the time I needed. But wait, there's more. I showed up 30 minutes early, as instructed. (FYI, during off-peak hours, you may have to enter through the back, which is the Emergency Services door on 24th Street between Broadway and Avenue C.) The waiting room is clean, large and has a restroom, flatscreen TV and water or coffee. I was too busy blowing my nose to pay attention to that. The receptionist was friendly and did say, "Bless you," every time I sneezed. I filled out mandatory paperwork. What I did like was that my information was pre-printed on some of them (name, address, insurance) so I didn't have to bother writing that over and over again. I got called in quickly, was able to change into a robe that was readily available in a clean locker room and had to wait less than 1 minute to actually start the MRI. The technician placed a pillow underneath my legs, gave me ear plugs and an emergency button. It was the most secure I have ever felt in an MRI. There was 1 woman in front of me, talking on her phone and wearing ankle socks in 30 degree weather. I walked out in exactly 1 hour from having walked in there. I probably spent more time dressing and undressing than actually having the MRI done. read more

When I called to make my appt I was told I would have to pay $400 for an MRI. I informed them that was incorrect and was advised to call my insurance. I called my insurance and they spoke to the facility and confirmed my correct payment amount was $100 and provided a ref #. I now assumed the payment issue was resolved. I come to my appt and was asked to pay the higher amount again. I explained we already went through this and they already spoke to my insurance who confirmed the payment amount. They still insisted on a $400 payment. Even after speaking to their manager nothing was resolved. I tried to call my insurance again but because it was Saturday they were closed. I told them I am not going to overpay and walked out. Unless your insurance covers 100% stay away from this place. read more
