I went there this morning because of pain in my hip and certain things I just didn't approve of during the intake. Other than that the services rented were very professional. I think that some of the staff need to be trained or taught better in communication and understanding without that being an issue to the patient. Knowing your HIPAA rights when you enter, a medical facility is paramount if not, you will be violated by untrained staff. It's not their fault that they are put in a position where they have to ask certain questions with other people not less than 5 yards away. These personal questions should only be asked to you and should only be heard by you and not everyone else. It should be done in a very reserve and respectable manner where no one is able to hear what is being asked or said. The intake personnel should not be upset with you because you know your HIPAA rights just be a professional and explain everything that you are asking of that patient and be very mindful that they are a patient.

My experience in Manhattan facilities as far as appointment wait times were on time but at Regional Radiology the wait times before and after imaging for checking are long. The main reason I use the SI facilities is because it is convenience for travel and in Staten Island. Also Dr.'s in Staten Island Regional Radiology in my experience, mammography, breast ultrasound, are not physically present at the facility at the time of the appointment because they read the images from home via medical approved internet. I had asked to speak with the manager and asked why I was not able to speak to or seen by the radiologist since at the at the nyc city facilities I was, to go over any questions and to look physically at me for any lumps etc of concern. At Regional Radiology, my opinion and experience only, the technologist contacts the radiologist physician and describes concerns etc. to the radiologist reading the images, and one time I was connected to the radiologist on the computer and on the phone. Not the same as an in person exam. I was told by the staff manager that in the future, before making an appointment, to ask if and when there will be a radiologist on sight for the day of your appointment, as mentioned most are working from home. Regional Radiology facilities throughout SI have been affiliated with NYU for some time now, and acceptable by some of my NYU Manhattan doctors depending on imaging needed, some physicians in Manhattan prefer NYU Langone, Perlmutter Radiology, or imaging facility at the Orthopedic center on E38 th Street. My Manhattan Dr.'s, some will accept REGIONAL RADIOLOGY, so I opine only in my experience and health situation. The physicians I use will also let me know which facility they would prefer. Please know this has been my experience only and Regional Radiology in my opinion has improved since they have been affiliated with NYU, but again, in my opinion they still need to be more on board in their practices with the facilities in Manhattan.

February 4, 2026. I am deeply disappointed, physically distressed, and frankly shocked by the lack…read moreof care, communication, and basic professionalism I encountered. I scheduled my appointment at 10:30 a.m. for a 6:30 p.m. visit due to severe rib pain and a suspected fracture. The explicit purpose of this visit was to obtain an X-ray to confirm the injury so that I could receive appropriate pain management and medical guidance. At no point during scheduling, check-in, or throughout the day was I informed that there would be no X-ray technician on site. Despite this, CityMD charged my insurance and collected my copay. I waited all day in significant pain, only to be informed by a medical assistant, after I had already arrived and paid, that there was no X-ray capability available. A nurse practitioner then entered the room and repeated the same information, without examining me, without touching me, and without offering any medical assessment whatsoever. This raises a serious question: at no point did anyone review my reason for visit? At no point did any provider or medical assistant review the day's schedule to identify patients who explicitly required imaging? A single glance at my chart would have revealed that this visit could not be completed as scheduled. To make matters worse, I rely on Uber for transportation. I had already paid to get to this appointment. I was then told I could Uber to another imaging location elsewhere in New Jersey, a location none of your staff could clearly identify or explain. No one offered to assist with transportation costs. The only alternative suggested was to go to the emergency room, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. I left the office in tears, still in severe pain, feeling dismissed and abandoned. This was an enormous waste of time, money, energy, and emotional capacity. Adding insult to injury, I later received a visit summary that included no diagnosis, because I was never evaluated, yet my insurance was billed and my copay was retained. To be clear: I was not examined. I did not receive imaging. I did not receive treatment. I did not receive a diagnosis. I was not informed in advance that the facility could not meet the needs explicitly stated in my appointment. There was no indication that I needed to call ahead to confirm whether an X-ray technician would be present. Given how early my appointment was scheduled in the day, any competent review of the schedule could have prevented this entirely. I have used CityMD many times in the past and have never had an experience like this, which makes this incident even more upsetting. However, after this experience, I will not be returning to CityMD and will not recommend your services to others. I am formally requesting: A full refund of my copay, and A reversal of all charges submitted to my insurance for this visit. I paid for medical care that was not provided. This situation was avoidable, painful, and unacceptable.

My wife is currently in extreme pain from severe migraines. She saw both an internist and a specialist, and both prescribed the same MRI. This center managed to mishandle her file to such an extent that we still do not know if she will get the imaging she needs on time. Here is the timeline of their failure: 1) They mishandled the initial pre-authorization from the internist. 2) When the specialist prescribed the same MRI, New Jersey Imaging Network recommended we call insurance to cancel the previous request. This was terrible advice. 3) They never followed up on the new request while lying to my wife that the pre-authorization was in progress. The negligence is stunning. I got the insurance company and New Jersey Imaging Network on a conference call today. The Center tried to blame my wife for having a complicated file. Then, they admitted nonchalantly that their pre-authorization team only looks at the first page of the file. They misled a patient in pain for over a week simply because they did not read past page one. The staff here needs to be more empathetic and thorough. I hope management reads this and fixes their broken process immediately.

At Hoboken radiology you have a private room with TV to relax while you drink the contrast. The woman who did the procedure was amazing and caring and sent me home with a goodie bag of warm socks and PJs. It was such a kind gesture that I still tear up when I think about it. Sadly, as a chronically ill patient it's rare in a medical setting to be treated so well. I'm so happy to have found this location in Hoboken.
