AMAZING!!! As far as I remember this place has won pub food…read moreof the year ever year since Ive lived in the area. Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. The portions are huge and I'm always left with enough food for another meal but save room for the Holly Bush sundae because you wont ever have a such a selection of tasty locally made ice cream :) The prices are great too, last time I went it was around 30quid for the 2 of us.

The quality of the Red House wavers dramatically everytime I visit, which is often, because it…read moretakes less than 10 minutes to walk there from where I live. Sometimes it's a wonderful experience, which really good food which works out at great value as part of their '2 for £12' offer, yet other times I think I'll never go there again, with dreadful undercooked meals and screaming kids running about. You never know what you're going to get. Constantly good though is the pub quiz on Thursday nights, which has become somewhat of a tradition between my friends.

The point of the update is that two colleagues and me went to use the vouchers from previous visits. I held 9 vouchers. 6 vouchers gives £12 of the bill. No problem. I mentioned that the other 3 expired 30/11/14. Not another problem, swapped for 3 that expire November 2015. Plus 2 more for the meals that had been paid for.... So, 5 new vouchers.... That's service..... and guarantees my return. 27/5/14 OK. They get their star back. Wife loved the place. The kids enjoyed their food too. Service was good. Had a slight problem getting to the place by taxi, as the driver didn't have the post code. I tried to ring the restaurant on the number they rang me back on earlier in the day. No answer. Eventually got to the place. BUT - IS THEIR PHONE FOR OUTGOING CALLS ONLY? OTHERWISE, ANSWER THE FLIPPING PHONE. I'm letting them keep their 5 stars, but if when I visit again and find them slow to get the drinks to the table, and slow to get to the table for us to pay, when they have already delivered the bill, then I might drop a star.
