The first two days they were pretty tender but surprisingly not as bad as I was expecting. Now, they honestly look like they are already healed and I barely have any soreness. My experience with piercing shops/tattoo parlors is limited exclusively to Claire's as a child, so I wasn't sure what to expect and have always been a little intimated by those places because I'm not what I'd consider "cool" (lol). I had my original lobe piercings done at claire's and have always had issues with those piercings and decided if I ever wanted more, I'd go somewhere more professional. Hence the search for a place in State College... I suspected a lot of places would overcharge because it's a college town so I did a lot of googling, reading reviews, and asking friends for suggestions either way. I have a few friends who've gone to the other shop in town for piercings and were happy with it, but when I looked at some of the reviews I was more hesitant. I'm a weenie about this stuff and really wanted to get my lobes pierced again (new spot) and prefer not having weird issues with prices not being disclosed up front and uncomfortable/unwelcoming vibes. I ultimately decided on King Cobra because of the reviews, but when I stopped in today just to get a feel for their vibes and ask about pricing, they were super nice and answered all my questions about the cost and pain. Even though it was mostly an exploratory visit for info, they offered to fit me in then and there so I just went for it! I paid $60 total for the two lobes, jewelry cost included. I've been wanting these second piercings for a while and since it's spring break, I figured I may as well treat myself. Jake was very friendly, clean/hygienic and everything you'd hope from someone doing piercings. The actual piercing was much better than I thought it would be, very little pain and didn't take long at all. He explained the aftercare and also gave a printout of the directions. I am very very happy with the piercings and will probably go back to get the third lobe piercing once these have healed a little bit (and I can save up lol).

In February 2018 I came to Jake Stanford wanting to get two full color sleeves. We set up Sundays…read morefor my appointments. I was supposed to come get tattooed every Sunday until the sleeves were finished. Jake was NEVER on time for our appointment. He was late so often that eventually we pushed the start time back from one until two. Sometimes it was later. He was never prepared to work. This would mean I showed up at two for an appointment but would have to wait for him to open the shop, eat, use the bathroom, & then setup to tattoo. Most days the actual tattooing did not start until several HOURS after my appointment time. If the appointment was 2 that would mean tattooing starts at 5. I've never had someone waste my time more than Jake. JAKE IS ALSO COLORBLIND. Something he does not tell people up front. Something he did not tell me until several sessions into color sleeves. Due to this he tattoos at such a slow rate that it seems unreal. A two hour tattoo becomes a full day experience after waiting several hours to start and then the slow pace at which Jake tattoos. He also checks text messages and social media while tattooing. Due to this slow process a tattoo that should be a few hours and 1 session gets stretched into several sessions over multiple days. None of the tattoos Jake does are 1 session. I have several unfinished tattoos on me which Jake does not want to schedule finishing due to the fact "touchups" are unpaid. I've sat over 51 hours of tattooing with Jake and nothing is complete.  I switched from Sundays to Thursdays to accommodate Jake. Three apts ago I was cut short for Jake to go on a date. Two apts ago I was cut short because Jake had scheduled another tattoo after mine even though I was supposed to be booked for the day. Last apt he cut me short again for another tattoo even though I had booked a full day. Then I had an appointment which he tried to push from 2 up to noon so he could tattoo someone else even though again, I was supposed to have the day booked. I cancelled that apt knowing there was no way Jake would be on time at noon or fully awake and at 100% to tattoo. Then I was told I have to wait a month to get in because my full days were booked by other people. Now I'm in the position of having to find another artist to finish what Jake started or find a way to cover it all.

During consultation: I gave him a few inspo pics. Specified the styles I like and what I liked about each inspo photo for his reference and I gave guidelines on size, proportions, and positioning. Day of my appointment: He presents the work and it was literally an inspo pic I sent him just resized. I pondered the point of our consultation prior and found it to be pretty insulting but I kept it pushing. We, or I, decided on a new design and we tweaked the size a few times. (In hindsight I should have tweaked it more because I couldn't see at the time that the middle numbers were slanted and not lined up well & the spacing would have looked better but was not trying to waste more time on an actual original idea that wasn't copy and pasted. Here's a timeline of my appointment: Arrive 10:30 Meet artist @10:45 *Consultation-redesign* Ink start: 12:20 (outline) "Lunch" Break: 12:45 (he steps out) Start Filling: 1:20 Halfway break: 2:30 Resume filling 2:45 Break 3:50 Final touches:4:20 Finish : 4:30 Rate $200/Hr Mind you, my tattoo is of only 4 numbers. I know this situation is embarrassing but I'm addressing my experience because it almost felt like I was doing Church a favor by giving him something to do on a Friday rather than coming in and being treated as a client. I conceived the notion that he took his time during the WHOLE process just to get paid more which, if that's the case, I lose all respect for him. I'm not sure if he was really listening to understand my vision during the consultation but the appointment had a bad start but I persisted and wanted to see it through to completion since I'm already there and have a decent 30 minute commute to from home. People concern over gas prices nowadays. My personal experience with Churchg was quite a drag and disappointing so I rate that a 3/10 If I had to rate the end result of the tattoo alone, it would be around a 6/10. I notice things that others wouldn't instinctively notice but it still isn't up to my liking sadly so I'm looking at laser removal treatment or even just by myself a machine for when these things happen. I know I definitely didn't need to pay $1100 for 4 numbers, 2 of the middle numbers being slanted. The Colombian cat that works beside him said even $1000 was a lot for something this simple and I'll agree with parcero. Ese panzón es un juevón para cobrar me así hijueputa. Church is definitely a cool guy as a person, I just didn't like the fact he copy and pasted an inspo pic which brought a huge burden to my mind, wallet, precious time and energy. It didn't bother me that he was lolligaggin with the receptionist while he was redesigning the tattoo on his iPad however I did expect better end results. If he sees this, he may smirk at this review cus he knew I was moving away shortly after. Unfortunately, I now have to find an laser tattoo removal clinic or fork out money for my own machine to blast this thing off of me. I just wish he was able to see my vision from the start but not everyone will fully see or understand your vision which is a part of life. In the end, I take full responsibility for how the ink came out like the waiver agreement states. My friend and I got tattooed by Ash. Like I said the work is decent, but she kind of talked down to us the entire time. I have several tattoos but it's as if she assumed this was my first kind of thing and it was a tad condescending. My friend accidentally touched my skin when she was laying the stencil and Ash kind of snapped at her as well. I wanted the stencil in a different spot, so Ash would have to clean the area again anyway and what my friend did was a minor accident. It's like 20 extra seconds if that. Also she talked shit on my friend TO ME for looking at the other artists work on the walls. I really didn't know what to say, her attitude was just off-putting. Also I have to say the other artist in the studio was quite unprofessional and made us very uncomfortable. I think his name was Kevin. The people in the shop were all just young women and the comments he was making we're quite foul and inappropriate. He made comments about shaving his butthole and towards the end made an antisemitic joke. Once again, was not really sure how to react. This is just honestly not a business I'd recommend. I've had some great experiences with tattoo shops so it really just makes me unhappy to see something like this, especially in a college town where a lot of young people who may not be particularly knowledgeable are going to get tattoos.

Kieth messed up her moms tatto and her mom tried to work with him and said shell let him fix it ... he began to become rude and nasty ... her mom tried to work with him and said she'll cashapp him and he said "its on the fucking wall" and she said she didn't see it and he goes on to say " Its fucking there and then yelled and said " get the fuck out while alcohol was on his breath ! my girlfriend dad said "please dont talk to my kids and their mom like that ! and he grabbed something and banged it and from what we saw it looked like a gun and it made a loud noise .. my girlfriend ran out screaming because she thought he really shot her family .. she dropped throwing up and hyperventilating!!! Kieth ran out trying to attack her dad with nunchucks! (which was what he had the whole time , he just couldn't open them) and he tried to attack her dad and he did what any dad would do and move his kids out the way !! abd the cops were called !! he was unsanitary and unprofessional!!! I messed up my foot pretty bad . My gf jammed her finger and had to pop it in place ! her mom lost her shoes running ! and her sister ankle is bruised !! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
