Worst tattoo experience of my life, and it's still not over!
Rude, unprofessional, childish, bitter, and stupid. These are just some of the thoughts that will pass through your mind as you're locked down in a tattooist's chair at Inferno Studios Tattooing in Ridgway, PA.
Bob, the owner, had friends in while he was tattooing clients. There was no assistant working the front desk, so anyone who walked through the door, we had to stop tattooing and chat. Forgive me, but aren't you paid by the hour? We had to stop for lunch, but that half hour of timing was never made up to me in tattooing work, so if you're planning on getting any big work done here, you're being ripped off. While his friends were in the shop, I had to listen to them talking trash about other people I don't know (uncomfortable), constant bragging and posturing (embarrassing), and he was passive aggressive towards me (the customer)! I couldn't have been out of the way any better, minded my own business, didn't engage in shady conversations, etc. The guy clearly had a chip on his shoulder about something.
I got the feeling he wasn't really paying attention or cared about the tattoo when he was doing it either (which is odd because you'd think he'd want things to come out best for his own portfolio or whatever). Color-blind and totally clueless as to how the business works.. He (Bob) tried feeding his wife to me AND his kid, and when that didn't work he tried slander! He would cry about his wife wanting to cheat on him when she left. This guy was all over the map!
Prices fluctuated depending on the mood, as well as appointment length.. I had a 5 hour session, I have to rent a car to get to the appointment, I get there, the appointment lasts 2 hours.. this is not saving me money. The owner, Bob, was a complete two-faced idiot to boot. The work itself was average, but any changes I wanted made (read: mistakes) were swept under the rug verbally (to pose for his tattoo friends he works with) AND THEN CORRECTED! I mean, how transparent can you be! Total slime ball.
Too loud outdated shitty rap-core from the '90's. Enjoy Limp Bizkit and Disturbed all over again! Guy was yammering about Obama and Trump the whole time like HE was running for office. Totally predictable and a dullard. Sit back and close your eyes, because you'll be rolling them a lot in here. This guy cancelled the last appointment with little notice (no excuse) and didn't bother making a follow-up. Now I have a half completed sleeve and I really don't want to go back to even get it finished! I may just go locally, because this guy is a fuck up.
I wouldn't trust this guy to work on me again, all I want is this half-assed sleeve finished. What a retard. read more
