I cannot express enough how deeply grateful I am for Bridges Preschool--and especially for their…read moreincredible kindergarten teacher, Ms. Evelyn. She brought the structure, discipline, and tough love that I never realized my son needed so badly from a teacher. We enrolled him in a prep year of kindergarten at Bridges to help him gear up for formal schooling, and it was the best decision we could have made. Thanks to their thoughtful approach and unwavering support, we now feel confident that he's ready to thrive in a mainstream classroom--with the tools, confidence, and emotional grounding to succeed. My son has a diagnosis that, unfortunately, led other private pre-K programs to dismiss him before even giving him a chance. He was labeled as "too much" or "too high-needs." But not at Bridges. Ms. Evelyn and the entire team welcomed him with open arms and open hearts. They didn't just accept him--they embraced him, supported him, and met every challenge with compassion and determination. Now as I send him off to his formal kindergarten journey, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the role Bridges has played in his growth. They saw his potential when others wouldn't--and now, he's ready to soar. Thank you, Bridges. Thank you, Ms. Evelyn. You've changed our lives.

I'm only giving this Dickensian piss factory two stars because they did manage to return my kids…read morerelatively unscathed each day. There is nothing good about this place except the AM Begindergarten teacher, Ms. Karen. The girls at the front desk are idiots and worse, the PM one has a horrible attitude. I never sat down and confirmed pricing with anyone; they backfilled my agreement with a different number than I was quoted when I decided to move my kids there. It actually ended up costing significantly more than the beautiful Montessori school I took them out of. THE ONLY REASON I WAS MOVING THEM WAS BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO SAVE $1000 EACH MONTH. I ended up spending $500 MORE. I learned a big lesson. Every time I asked for a statement to reconcile the payments, they gave me a different one listing different fees. They also tried to shake down my husband for double payments. These people are scammers and the school is loud and dirty. There are much better preschools for less money close-by, so don't bother with this dungeon.

Gethsemane Academy - Kids enjoy chapel weekly

My children are not only receiving a quality education, but they are active and involved in a strong Christian environment. The school has some fantastic teachers and our administrator's first priority has been the needs of the children. Both of my children have used the onsite daycare for several years, as well as the Summer Kids camp. My boys have loved the field trips, the activities and the swimming in the summers. Gethsemane also offers extra-curricular programs such as Band, Choir, Drama and Sports. We love the variety of activities that they are able to participate in without ever having to leave campus.

Gethsemane puts the "it takes a village to raise a child" model into practice. From early on, children and their families get to know all of the staff at the school offering a true community feeling. Small class sizes give teachers and other faculty members the opportunity to understand and meet your child's individual needs. Learning at Gethsemane doesn't just happen in the classroom or in a text book. Our teachers use outside the book activities, acts of service, exercises and technology to engage growing young minds. Throughout their educational experience at GLS those young minds and souls are nourished with the word of the Lord. Children attend Chapel weekly and all grade levels participate in Christian Studies.

La Petite Academy of Tempe

La Petite Academy of Tempe

My daughter has been going to their daycare/preschool since she was 2 (about a year and a half…read morenow), and I am amazed with her development both socially and creatively. La Petite structures each classroom around a child's specific age group, learning abilities, and development. Weekly to bi-weekly changing themes range from the family unit to transportation. Parents receive a newsletter with each week's theme, which gives them a clear understanding of what their children are learning. For example, this week's theme is "How to Get from Here to There". Learning objectives that are assessed are language and communication development, math and logical thinking, scientific thinking and problem solving and creativity and the arts. Children are introduced to books and songs and stories relating to the theme, and the newsletter provides a list of books or activities that parents can engage in with their child at home. Furthermore, parents get a very clear understanding of where their child is, or should be, in their development within the language, math, and social categories. For instance, at this point, 'child participates in read aloud situations, knows that letters are different than numbers, orders more than two objects by size, works with class to gather data, works to build knowledge about different jobs and roles, follows basic safety and health rules, draws recognizable pictures...'. Daily the kids in my daughter's 3 year old classroom are working on creative art projects which involve a variety of different mediums. They have play time on the playground at least twice a day, a scheduled nap time with their own dedicated cots and blankets, many snack times and healthy meals through the day, free play, story time, and many other activities that keep them engaged and learning throughout the day. The facilities are very clean, the staff very attentive and sensitive to children's needs, and parents receive a little progress note at the end of each day to see what their child did, how they ate, slept, etc. I feel so comfortable leaving my daughter there, and highly recommend La Petite. For full time care, 6a-6p, Monday-Friday, the price is extremely reasonable at about $140 for the week. Parents do have the option of bringing their child for only one or two days.

Took days to get a response from them, then we set a time for the initial phone call and they never called. I had to call them back. The place is dirty, gross and super small. Once my daughters assessment was over, the lady looked at me and said "got the cash"? I felt like the whole thing was a scam. She said she would email me all the available times slots they have open and who would be available to tutor, whelp, it's been a week and she never sent the email. I should of trusted my gut when I walked in and immediately felt like I should walk out. Do not go here!

I enrolled him in 2: one for math tutoring and the other for a robotics building camp with Mindstorms Lego kits. It was expensive. It was mediocre and average in the math tutoring. The robot camp is a complete fiasco and I encourage you to not enroll or attend. I was told when registering him that there was only one space left. Obviously, myself and the 20 other mothers who were paying the exorbitant price were all told the same thing. It's a large room full of old computers and a few Mindstorm Lego kits with one supervising adult managing the room of 20 boys. For the price I paid for the camps I could have bought 2 of the kits and kept him at home. My son was bullied and there was no supervision for him to talk with and take the situation too. I have dropped in at times other than the pick up to assess the situation and witnessed a room full of kids with NO adult or teacher. Perhaps the other programs during the school year or one on one sessions are different-I did not have any experience with those. My family experienced the summer camps being held at the Grand Canyon Prep charter school which is a mile away from the address for the business. Our experience is bad, I would not go back, I would like to rate this experience somewhere around -100 on the richter scale and encourage other moms to seek out summer camps elsewhere for their child's safety.
