And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. -Romans 8:28 New Hope is full of followers of Christ who not only love the Lord, but are passionate about serving Him. These are the kind of people I want to be around, the kind of people my family and I need to be around. There is no judgement here. All hypocrites are welcomed with open arms. Child care is available and there are several services on both Saturday and Sundays, not only that but there are multiple locations so you have no excuse, lol! Parking like everywhere in Hawaii is sparse, however you can park at kmart and either walk or they offer a shuttle. There are opportunities to get further plugged in by joining small groups or attending different studies they offer regularly. The pastors are real and relevant. All of them convey Gods word in a way that draws your attention to the heart of message instead of drifting to sleep or playing with your phone. I love all of them; Mike, Wayne, Alan, but I feel Pastor Josiah 's messages relate to me the most. Please even if you're not a believer, come visit New Hope. The music is uplifting. The people are encouraging. The message is impactful. You don't even have to come to the actual church. They broadcast the sermons online. Pastor Waynes messages are also broadcasted on 99.5 at 6 am. If you want, you can come with me and my family. We'd love for you to try it out. You won't be disappointed because God does not disappoint.

My home church, this is where I was saved and continue to grow in Christ! If you don't know where you want to make your home or wanna try new a new church come down. Our pastor is down to earth, funny, and real! He tells you everything how it is no sugar coating and everybody needs to hear the word in this perspective!

This is my home church, it is a young family church with a little bit of everything for all ages. We have a Christian school, Youth ministries, Young adult and Adult academy classes and we do a lot of community work both here and abroad. The senior pastor for the church is Mike Lwin, a young very energetic man with a huge heart for God. Me and my family attended New Hope Oahu under head pastor Wayne Cordeiro for awhile and one day decided to attend New Hope Leeward to check it out. Pastor Mike had done a service at New Hope Oahu while i was still there and i was immediately drawn to the energy of his message, so i was already expecting that when we first attend a service at NHL, after that there was no looking back. i believe it was the best move for me and my family. The church staff and volunteers are a bunch of loving, laid back people who have a deep love for God. So, if you are looking for a church for you're family, seeking some change in you're life, or wanting to start you're relationship with Jesus, please come by and check out our services on the weekends, we have 6 services and anyone and everyone is welcomed.

I love new hope leeward. I've been with this church since 2005 and love the people, the messages and more. Everyone is like family and my kids love it as well. They've grown to love God and know him more and more each day.

Saturday vigil mass in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. I didn't have time to go to church on Sunday, so I looked for a Catholic Church nearby and attended the 6pm Saturday service. I heard that St. Joseph Church is really popular, so I arrived at 5:30pm - half an hour before mass. I got a great parking space (because we can park on school grounds, too) and entered the quiet, old-shool, air-conditioned church. Sitting in the back row, I appreciated the cushioned fabric on the wooden pews. I liked the high ceiling, wooden beams, and stained glass. The congregation was praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy instead of the Rosary. When mass began, I admired the many altar servers. It's a good idea to get young people involved! The choir included a flute, guitar, and bass. The female leader was competent. I didn't know all of the songs, but I was happy to sing America The Beautiful at the closing - in preparation for the upcoming 4th of July holiday! It was interesting that there was a Eucharistic Minister at the back of the church. There were two priests in the front... it sure helped the flow of people receiving the Eucharist! Overall, it was a great experience! I will keep this mass option in mind if I'm in the area again. Maybe next time, I'll stand up as a "visitor" and receive a shell lei from the greeter!

Came here for Friday evening Stations of the Cross during Lent and stayed for Mass afterwards. We…read moreloved the vibrant Samoan congregation and cute keiki who reverently and adoringly led the Stations prayers, and made up most of the enthusiastically resounding choir! Church was packed which really made us feel happy. The Mass afterwards was attended with the same amount of parishioners who attended Stations. Father Manny gave an excellent homily. Church was originally built in 1860 but the current structure dates to 1941 when US Army Corps of Engineers Architect, Jozef van Oort redesigned it in Romanesque style and added the Bayerischen bell tower for reasons I couldn't discover through my research. The interior was remodeled in the modernist style in 2006. Enjoyed worshiping here with these lovely devout locals and highly recommend this parish if you are looking for a place to worship. Only negative thing is the parking situation which could be called atrocious and even moderately unsafe with the proximity of high velocity heavy traffic flow from adjacent Farrington. I guess it's a true test of Christian humility, patience, and charity to extract or ingress the parking area so actually it's a good thing.... Solid 5 stars. Mahalo for reading my review. Pax vobiscum.

They're like a big family you see every Sunday. So welcoming and encouraging. Dr. Wayne Anderson is the most straight forward pastor. He does not sugar coat anything. He shares what's real and isn't afraid to break the barriers of silence on topics other pastors wouldn't dare to acknowledge. He is amazing. The City of Refuge has changed my life in such a positive, most uplifting way! Everyone that we've invited enjoyed the message they received and have returned. Dr. Anderson has been ministering for over 30 years at CORCC. He also has an awesome team he opens the pulpit to who also have great messages. The worship team is phenomenal! They get to my core and have me in tears of cleansing, spiritual healing, reassured faith, and strength. This is a church you can call home. Everyone is so kind and caring. They also hold more intimate study groups on Wednesday nights at 7pm. Being in the Wednesday night group Mike and I have learned and grown so much as individuals and partners. My week isn't the same if I don't start it off with the word. I am so blessed to call this church home!
