WOW! I cannot say enough about Mathnasium! Our problems began when my son was moved to advanced…read moremath in 5th grade and skipped over some important skills. As he kept getting promoted the next few years, he actually kept falling further and further behind. He was really struggling and we could not figure out what was going on. Teachers told us everything was fine; he'll catch up eventually. But he didn't and as a result he lost all self confidence in himself, was frustrated, upset, ashamed and begging for help. He told me he felt like a failure and it crushed me. We were desperate for a solution but didn't know where to turn. We had felt we had exhausted all normal routes of teacher and school resources. On a holiday outing we passed Mathnasium and it sparked our curiosity. After literally one week of attending, I began to notice changes in my son. His self confidence was coming back and he didn't shy away from his work. It's now been about a month and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! His grades have gone from failing/barely passing to making high B's and A's! He has so much more comprehension of what he is doing and his anxiety level has dropped. He actually looks forward to his Mathnasium sessions and comes out of them with a smile on his face. He told me: "I'm so much calmer in class and actually understand more of what's going on. I don't panic anymore because I know I have a place to go to where I can get my questions answered without feeling embarrassed." As a parent, it just overwhelms me with gratitude to see the turnaround and his positive outlook. Casey and the staff are so patient, kind and welcoming. They have been able to make a learning connection and promote a new way of thinking that works for him. He nows says: "I can" instead of "I can't" and that makes all things possible! I can never sing Mathnasium's praises enough. You have literally changed my child's life! Thank you so much!

Profound and Exciting! Taking Jin Shin Do classes from Stephen Markman has changed my life and I…read morebelieve his instruction is exactly what many of my energy medicine, body work, and psychotherapy provider-colleagues are searching for to further their personal and professional development. Stephen is a master teacher. He is not only expert on the practice of Jin Shin Do, but he has an uncanny ability to connect with and engage his students which maximizes learning opportunities whether working on people in practice sessions or understanding the fundamentals of Jin Shin Do. Moreover, Stephen embodies the spirit of Jin Shin Do through his process, treatment paradigms, and perhaps most importantly, his exquisite manner of honoring the person being treated. It is this last point that stands out above all others and greatly differentiates Stephen and Jin Shin Do from other amazing modalities. I am a student and teacher of Reiki, Medical Qigong, meditation, etc. and for years, I have always approached my clients from a place of light, compassion, and non-judgement. Stephen's classes took me to the next levels and have forever polished my approach towards treating others. Before taking Stephen's classes, I witnessed a handful of Jin Shin Do sessions and knew that learning Jin Shin Do was the next step for me and my clinical development. Since those classes, the mixture of detailed acupressure methods, mind body processing, and release and healing is rapidly becoming the most important technique that I provide while working with others. Applying acupressure provides a unique physicality where clients find great benefit. During sessions, clients always remark on the relaxed feelings in their previously tense musculature (such as during neck and shoulder releases), but the benefit continues long after the session has ended. The acupressure reestablishes the essential energetic flows needed for proper health and mind/body/spirit balance. The mind body processing aspect of Jin Shin Do honors the mental, emotional, and physical facets of a person at the moment of treatment while also helping them process any past emotional or mental memories that bubble up during sessions. The results are profound and I've seen many clients find great benefit who have had abuse issues, chronic pain and fatigue, past trauma, and more. My clinical practice has been elevated because of Stephen's Jin Shin Do classes. I highly recommend him! Michael Torok, PhD
