Dylan was thorough in his visit and quote. His quote was fairly high, though he was willing to come down based on several other quotes. Once I committed, I was told I'd receive a date in late March for the service (removal of 3 trees, removal of 2 branches, remove a leaner). As late March approached, I continued to follow up to secure a date, even a tentative one. I received no reply. On Mon, Mar 29 in the morning, I received an automated text message stating the crew would arrive in 30 minutes. My mother-in-law had just passed away in Chicago, and I was on my way there. Out of desperation to keep the appt, I allowed them to come. However, in speaking with Dylan's secretary that morning, I was very clear about: 1) receiving a call from Dylan from the job site to go over a few things (since I couldn't be present and was never notified of a date) and 2) leaving several yards of wood chips, which I had also requested when I committed to the quote / project. The secretary assured me that both would happen; neither happened. In addition, the crew seemed to haphazardly drive over my new lawn in the back (where the work was done), creating much damage, soil compaction, and unevenness that took a weekend to repair and requires ongoing tending. I called to speak with Dylan after the project was done, and the secretary assured he would call me back. That was over a week ago, and I still haven't received a call. Essentially, after committing to the quote, I never heard from Dylan, which meant I couldn't be present on an agreed-upon day, I couldn't go over certain important details, and I couldn't address any concerns after-the-fact. He did, however, do exactly the work laid out in the quote, including a couple extra small jobs for no additional cost (much appreciated!). If communication is important to you, I would be careful here. read more
