The system was…read moresupposed to be protected from freezing but the lines were not pitched properly so several lines did not drain back out as designed. Obviously the water froze and broke several lines. After several phone calls and promises to come out with an irrigation service person, no one ever showed up or called back. Since there was no stated "warranty" on the work, I have no recourse but to hire someone else to fix this. As I've unfortunately read too late in many of these other reviews, this seems to be common.

When he did as speak with the guy he asked for an extension cord, but when he asked for a workforce was told they will do that when they are done. My husband thought it was for a power washer or some sort, but it was for a jackhammer. They destroyed my walkway against the house and caused the brick facade to crumble into our yard. When my husband asked what they were doing, they were trying to figure out why the sidewalk was cracked (nevermind the big tree with roots sticking out of the lawn). My husband stopped them before they did anymore damage. They are now asking for $17,500 to repair and want $300 for the roof that wasn't cleaned.

NW Outdoor Living and Landscapes recently completed a backyard and patio project at our home in…read moreNorthwest Portland. We wanted to take the time to let you know how happy we are with the amazing work the team did and the excellent customer service we received. The project was fairly extensive; including replacing and extending the existing patio, renovating our pond and water feature, upgrading the retaining wall, screening our hot tub and adding outdoor lighting. From start to finish we really felt that you and your team provided excellent service. You presented us with a clear timeline and budget for the project and this was exactly what was delivered. Throughout the process, we felt that everyone remained very responsive, open to our questions and flexible with minor changes. The project finished on time and the quality of work was really great. We are very excited about the results and cannot wait to begin putting the area to use this summer with friends and family. Thank you to you and your awesome team and we will certainly spread the positive word about your company.

Miguel assessed the job, provided a very fair estimate and said they would complete the entire job in one day if hired. We compared several other companies' bids, professionalism and responsiveness and ultimately hired the Silva's team and we're SO happy with their work. They went above and beyond and completed the entire yard cleanup and lawn mowing to perfection in less than one day. Their work ethic, professionalism, communication and attention to detail is exactly what you want in a yard care team. We were so pleased that we'll be hiring them to do regular yard care. Silva's Lawn Care is the best company in our area and we recommend them very highly.

I've never seen landscapers use a blower for so long for so little space. They come and do our…read moreneighbor's home and blow two blowers for over an hour. This is an area with few trees, as it's a new subdivision. They literally just blow everything as though they're in a trance. Mind you, this is not pleasant in our house. It smells so awful outside, you can't even breathe outside without getting nauseated. How they think this is valuable landscaping is beyond me. Additionally, they blow debris from the neighbors yard and street onto ours. If this is their version of cleaning/landscaping, I'd be shocked if they liked their own antics on the receiving end. Do the workers of this company think that people don't live next door, as they blow their blower full blast in a side yard that is 20 feet from a neighbor's kitchen? These workers think that just because they have hearing protection in, that my kids should have ear plugs in our own house? Again, what shocks me is just how long they run their blowers for. (It's usually a team of 2). Normally, people use them as a finishing tool, but this company just runs them as a primary tool and accomplishes nearly nothing in the process. (Sorry, blowing leaves onto a neighbors property isn't accomplishing anything). One star for creating a menacing environment on our street for over an hour each time with what could be done much quicker and with less impact. There are alternatives out there that won't make you be a rude neighbor (by hiring this company)
