Everything was about, "you've got to sign by tomorrow or you'll lose this great price". It wasn't a great price. According to him It was supposed to cost $6800 but if I had less than a certain income then it miraculously dropped to $3500 to do various insulations around the house, about half a day's work. The way the proposal was written it sounded very involved, but it was essentially insulating the attic and caulking around the house. That's a ton of money for that work. He then called me constantly, pushing for me to sign. When I finally told him I don't react well to these kind of deadlines he said "have a nice day" and hung up. This company is preying on people who don't know pricing and fall for their sales pitch.

This crew was very hard working and professional. Most of our work was in the attic and these guys did a great job. We should see a reduction in our monthly bill over the next months and years. I would recommend Green Audit to anyone, any time if you need fixing for your insulation. We are happy customers!

We had three encounters with this company. The first two, when the company came out to conduct an…read moreenergy audit, were generally positive. The workers were courteous and hard-working. After those two energy audit visits, the company identified our basement as an area that needed insulation to better improve our home's energy efficiency. We scheduled a two-day appointment to add insulation to our basement, exterior walls and attic. The insulation visit and the two months of email that followed, were hell. Although their own employees recommended that we add insulation in our basement, and this was the primary reason we decided to add insulation, when the company came out to actually do the work, they said they couldn't put insulation in our basement because of the space between our beams. Since it was their company that did the initial work and made the recommendation, shouldn't they have known that we couldn't do the project that they themselves recommended? Then, instead of telling us upfront that they couldn't do that work, they decided - without telling us - that they would just cram the remaining work into one day and tell us at the end that they couldn't do the basement and wouldn't be back tomorrow. The company co-owner, Adam, came to the house to check on the progress during the day - he spoke to the workers who, presumably, would've updated him on the change in plans. He never told us that the basement wouldn't be done or that the workers would be doing all of the work in a single day instead of the two that we had schedule. As 5:00 came around and I was expecting the workers to be wrapping up, they said, "we're almost done, just another 30-40 minutes to clean up." An hour passed and I asked again, "how much longer, we have plans tonight?" The answer: "15 more min." This continued until 9:00pm when I had to cancel our plans and kick the workers out of our home. They returned 20 minutes later, claiming they had left their ipad. Despite being asked to wait outside (as we had finally sat down to have dinner) they entered our home anyway. While we looked for the ipad, the two workers took advantage to use our bathroom, but didn't help look for the ipad (which was in their truck). As we inspected the work the next day, we found nails, screws, cigarettes and trash strewn around our yard, and in the attic, a DVD rack had been knocked over and DVDs scattered all over the room. I reached out to the company that evening to express my displeasure and didn't hear back. I followed up again and eventually the owner called and said he'd talk to his crew. From there, we heard nothing. No update on what actions had been taken to rectify the situation and no compensation or effort to "make whole" a situation that was off the rails from start to finish. When the company sent the invoice for the work, they billed us for the entire scope of the project, including the work they didn't do. I pointed out the error and for more than a week received no response. It took TWO MONTHS and more than 14 emails to get a correct invoice. The communication and customer service were AWFUL. I will NOT use this company again, and have already pointed 10 friends and family members to other companies for work at their homes. You cannot be this bad at dealing with your customers in 2017 - there's no excuse. I was optimistic about this company after the two energy audit visits, but the last experience was a NIGHTMARE and I would recommend you look elsewhere unless you're looking for a way to increase your blood pressure.

We bought our home last December and quickly realized we were in need of insulation. When you buy…read morea new home it takes a while to get to know its quirks, what it needs and set a timeline for improvements. We put insulation at the top of the list. Our oil delivery costs for astronomical. The house didn't retain its temperature so one minute it was warm and the next very cold. The furnace was constantly coming on and off. A huge expense for our family. Once we had the insulation installed along with air sealing around our entire home we were hoping the next winter would go better. So now that it's winter we can say that our furnace does not constantly click on. Our home retains the heat. We set our thermostat at around 66 degrees knowing it will get up to 68 and sometimes 70 if we are cooking. Our oil deliveries have been way less gallons per deliver, we are using less fuel to maintain the heat in our home. Installers were professional. Clive and his team were very considerate of our home, keeping it clean with drop cloths and removing all the old insulation carefully to keep the house from collecting drops of it. It is amazing how they build up walls in the attic with a small space to walk. The air sealing in the basement has been nice because the heat in the finished portion doesn't kick on as much because its not being sucked out of the house. The job was done in one day. It was our first Summer in the house and we had the work done right before that, so I cannot tell you what a previous Summer would have been like but I can only imagine how hard the A/C must have had to work to keep the house cool. And, the cost must have been really high. Our A/C is in the attic so they insulated the duct work to each room as well. Keeping the air traveling in the duct work cool as it traveled from the a/c to the room. Meaning again, it doesn't have to work so hard to keep the house cool. Genius! I will post this on CT Basement Systems too because I think there are more reviews there for the insulation.

There was finally a decision and I was sent an estimate to sign. Part of the contract is that any damage done to the property is not their fault and I signed because I think this is pretty standard. All the the workers they sent were great, EXCEPT. it appears the quote I signed and paid for was not at all complete, so to dig the trench was another $2600.00. Then the surge protector was not added so that was another $650.00 These upcharges just kept coming. The Tank was NOT buried as I has asked, but is above the ground and a real eyesore. They willed the tank without asking my permission. The damage to the property is terrible and I have no way to repair it. The last people who came said they would check back, but I have never heard from them. I saved 20 years for this work and to have the mess, and all those up-charges has been terrible. The photos show some of the damage. Valiant said they would leave oil which they did not, they said they would come back and set up an App which they did NOT, they said they would contact me about an extended warranty which they did NOT. There were supposed to contact me about service and they did NOT. It was beena miserable experience. Now I have a generator which may or may not work I am out almost $30,000.. 20 years of saving.

This was Dr Energy Saver/BlackDog Builders out of Salem, NH. I recently had all my windows and a…read moreslider replaced through them. The job took about a week and was left a complete disaster. Nails were left everywhere both inside and outside the house. This posed the biggest problem because I asked them to use the magnet sweeper to pick up all the nails, especially outside by the deck and the pool. Instead I paid someone to help remove the nails. Second major issue arose during my first winter with the new windows. Cold air was literally blowing through the trim and causing the curtains to move with the air. I called to report this issue and they removed the trim from 1 window and we could see outside from inside the house. None of the windows had any insulation around it. Fast forward 6 months and having saved 0 on heat, they removed all the trim again and i had to babysit them to ensure they actually put the insulation in. Calling DES in CT did nothing as each of these are independently owned and operated. I never received a call back from them. I had numerous calls into DES of Salem, NH with no calls back. Not only was the project manager non-responsive, but also the receptionist. I felt like a joke to them with the lack of caring and response. I had to google search the owner and reach him through his cell phone and other email address (Black Dog Builders, Salem, NH). He came out to review the installation and only saw a fraction of the problems. He showed barely any interest in the problems and i felt as though i was wasting his precious time. I think whats worse is that I never received an apology from either the local dealer or corporate for the poor job, not covering any furniture (notice the paint mark on my brand new couch). These photos below are just a small example of how terrible the job was. as an FYI, their price was similar to other companies. Ive regretted going through them and hope no one ever has to experience the saddest form of workmanship known to man. I pray this review helps others in choosing a company to replace their windows.

About 4 years ago, I tried cutting my face. My weight is the highest it's ever been, and it only keeps getting higher. I have not finished college despite having gone to a prep school prior to attending the ASAT program. I feel inadequate about looking for a job. The only merit I can see in retrospect is the friendships I've formed. Oh, and the speech and language patgologist is nice too. I would advise against attending. Look at the reviews for people who have been there 3, 4, 10 years. Why? It isn't free to do this - it's expensive. The point is to create independence, not create a line on the income statement. There were almost zero staff with experience with autism. Many different kinds of issues, including some that could be considered potentially dangerous. Autism does not need to be cured - it needs to be supported. There are those there with profound issues that may otherwise face institutionalization - they are staying at what could be about $82,000 per year (on our info sheet anyway). The classes were little more than YouTube shorts with no deliverables, taught by very inexperienced teachers. In short, this seemed to be a Haven for rich families who need to have their adults elsewhere. I would say that Anna K's review on this page sums up the experience nicely - horrible. Waste of money - ALOT of money.
