A few weeks ago I awoke with…read moreinexplicable and painful kink or pull in my waist/torso area that I had never experienced before. I couldn't readily identify the source of the pain nor attribute it to anything I had recently done. It got progressively worse over the course of the day, and got to a point that I knew I needed help. I wasn't sure if I needed to see a doctor, a chiropractor, a masseuse, or someone else. I happened upon Kim Pilgrim's website and decided to give it a try. Gently and patiently, Kim's therapy coaxed out whatever pull/kink I had developed. I felt quite a bit better by the end of the session, and felt progressively better that evening. By the time I woke up the following morning, no pain remained. Thank you Kim! Your therapy was magic and exactly what I needed!

For more information, see www.upledger.com This type of body work works well as self-care, preventative care, and complements physical therapy, chiropractic work, other bodywork, or even talk therapy. The session is all clothes on and done on a massage table. Scheduling 4-6 sessions closer together, such as weekly, will bring the best results. However, if that isn't feasible, or you just want to try it, just doing one or two sessions can also be quite significant. Craniosacral therapy is a relaxing, revitalizing experience which awakens your own self-correcting mechanisms towards healing. I support and listen to clients through their healing process. I offer affordable sliding scale rates. lgbtqi friendly

I'd never seen a naturopath before seeing Dr. Montgomery and was uncertain about paying out of pocket for an initial visit, but I wanted to try a different approach to chronic anxiety and gastrointestinal issues, and for support for a healthy pregnancy. With her support and suggestions, I've been successful in my third attempt to taper off anti-anxiety meds. From my first visit, it was clear that it was a good investment. Dr. Montgomery had spent a lot of time reviewing past labs and my intake forms, and was a wonderful listener. She walked me through her thinking about how to get more info about what was going on with my body and how to support my health. All her ideas were holistic, pragmatic (considering cost, feasibility, etc.), and systematic (maybe try this first, then this...), and she didn't make any assumptions or take anything for granted. I love that she has a background in both naturopathic medicine and Chinese medicine and integrates those approaches. I've been seeing Jules weekly throughout my pregnancy and anxiety med taper journey, and I feel confident that our sessions have been crucial in helping me maintain a stable mood, physical comfort, and overall good health during this important time in my life. I've seen at least 5 different acupuncturists in the cities, and probably a dozen or so in my life, and Jules is my favorite in the cities and top two of all time. Not only is he super skilled at his healing craft and generous (affordable community acupuncture is such a gift!) but also warm and caring and particularly knowledgeable about pregnancy. I always look forward to my sessions and feel wonderful afterwards. Also a shout-out to the front desk staff who are wonderful and warm :)

Dr Barrett took great interest in listening to me and bringing warmth, compassion and her expertise into the time with me. I left feeling like I had a plan and someone to walk with me in this process -not just covering up what was happening, but looking at what deficiencies are there and seeing what is really happening and needed in my body. Also, Dr. Barrett is very knowledgable about natural supplements and what works well with the body systems. Would recommend her to anyone interested in a more natural and deeper approach to health concerns.
