Residents aren't getting the attention they require or respectfully deserve due to people that are 'just there to collect a paycheck'. This is why seniors and family members hesitate to send their loved ones to these death centers. Your caretakers need to remember, they will at one time require the same care as they age. Train your people properly and teach them to respect those who trust them to care for them.

The warmth you feel from the decor and the people is tangible. I was also surprised at how great the food is and the variety of menu choices available to the residents at every meal. The Director, Nan Gammill, puts her personal touch on everything and caring for and being kind to the people there seems to be her mission in life. There was a kindness and compassion from the staff to the residents that set it apart from other assisted living communities I have visited. The activities that are available, the theater, the billiards, the quiet areas with water features. I am not ready for assisted living but I wanted to sign up to be honest.

The atmosphere is that of a home rather than of a facility. The place is immaculately clean. Meals are home-cooked and healthy. The ratio of aides to residents is much higher at Greenview than at larger facilities and so all of the residents can receive individualized, timely care. The staff is carefully trained and very caring. The owner (Danka) has a wealth of knowledge about senior care and is expert at providing hands-on care herself. She is there daily, overseeing every aspect of the facility and of the care. Family and visitors are welcomed and become part of the loving community at Greenview. What a difference!

The majority of the staff are rude, and the DON, Jillian, is a complete nightmare to deal with. She is rude to the patients and their family members. She doesn't even pretend to like her job. The call lights go unanswered for 45 minutes at a time. When this was brought up at a meeting, they said they'd look into it. Well, after that meeting, the staff would come in after 10 minutes but only to turn the call light off and say "I'll be back," and then not come back for another 20 minutes. The staff make rude comments to the patients and if you need a new medication or a medication adjusted, be prepared for it to take a week. Nothing is fast at this place. Don't believe the overall score of the reviews. Move on to the next facility. Your family member will not be treated well here.

The people were sitting outside visiting and taking in the sunshine. The front desk ladies were friendly. The residents walking around said Hello. The only odor I smelled was the aroma of lunch! Candid pictures of residents are in the walls. Activities and crafts are out to show. There is a plant light for succulents. Around the grounds, the mostly one story resident buildings are very nice with garages. The windows appear to be the crank open kind. There are lots of trees and birds. A lot of staff were visible. The attention and care that I received was 10 star from the beginning to the end. Starting from the administrative staff through the nurses, aides, dietitians, activity director right to the maintenance dept., the care was unsurpassed!
