Starting from the administrative staff through the nurses, aides, dietitians, activity director right to the maintenance dept., the care was unsurpassed! When I left I felt I was leaving part of my family. I cannot put into words the gratitude that I feel. Their hearts are in YOUR best interest even though you may not always agree.... Park Village is by far the nicest, cleanest, and friendliest nursing home facility in the area. The…read morestaff is very friendly and caring. The building itself is well maintained and never has that "nursing home" odor, like the majority of the others. My mother has been there for over 2 years now, and she never complains either. She likes all the staff, and she says the food isn't half bad either. They also have activities almost every day to keep the residents entertained, and busy. My father also spent a little bit of time there when he had a hip replacement. The therapy team did a wonderful job, and got him back on his feet in no time! Overall, if you're looking for a place for a loved one to stay, or recuperate after a recent surgery, I highly recommend this facility.

I had a friend who was beaten up by his girlfriend's sister. He still had bruises and cuts as he relayed his story. He was the one who was injured and the hospital was friendly toward him, until they found out that it was domestic violence, he was the actual the victim and they didn't asked the full story and assumed he was at fault, they were rude and even hurt him on purpose. The place has gone down hill since Cleveland took over. I know some of the staff and this is not about the departments, because I know they're good people, but the way they treat the elderly is inhumane. They give them a substandard of care and pretty much experiment on people they believe are dying without informing their family what is going on. My friend's mom passed away in an horrific way because she believed that a Cleveland Clinic would be the best place for her, if she had gone to the smaller hospital she might have been transferred to another place, because they're understaffed, but she would have at least gotten compassionate care.

We are not the type to rush to the doctor, so he had been dealing with the pain for weeks already before finally deciding that he needed help. He was even losing weight because eating caused his pain to worsen. He walked into the building, which was empty of other patients, and described his exact symptoms to the doctor that came out to him. She literally said, "We can't help you, get better buddy!" and sent him right back out. About four painful months later, my husband found another doctor who confirmed immediately that it was a bad hernia, and scheduled him days later for surgery. The surgeon said that it was a severe hernia - bad enough that the surgery took about three times longer than the average. So, this "urgent care" centre gets one star because my husband could have died if he had taken their advice and just tried to suck it up.

Most of that time was spent sitting in uncomfortable low-back chairs in a lobby where every time the main doors slid open to let someone in, the blast of cold air that also came in kept the whole room cold! There was no URGENT OR STATCARE about this place. There were plenty of staff in evodence, so the wait time was inexcusable! And then in an attempt to cover the guilt she felt over people having to wait so long, the nurse offered a half-apology and told us the wait had been FIVE, yes, FIVE HOURS long earlier in the week!!! We were NOT impressed! We could have been in and out of our local ER faster than this!!

We spent a lot of time trying to get him into AN REPUTABLE hospice program while they yanked us around. I would NEVER put a family member into their service. Not sure how they enrolled him without consent. Their main office is in Nee Philadelphia. Over two hours from Salem! I can't say enough to discourage anyone from dealing with this service.

Aultman Hospital doctors were in the wrong for calling Hospice and so was my fiance's brother.I have people in my family who have survived brain damage and heart conditions.My fiance' had already filed for his retirement.These people had tried lying to my face when i was at the hospital and saw them talk John's brother into having his fluid Ivs removed before he was to be transferred to The Truman House in New Phila,Ohio.Doing the right thing for John would've been having kinship transferred to me and having him sent to a nursing home to recover or letting John be sent home so he could've been cared for in his own home with me.
