Great Care, Great People, Very good facility - wish they took Medicaid…read more My father, through the last 6 years of his life, had to be in assisted living/skilled facility. We only were at 5 places, but this was one of the two places he felt like he could call home. The people, from the administration, to the caregivers, to the skilled nurses treated him with respect, and care. Despite his decline while there in ability, due to MS, they rarely made him feel like a burden (except when occasionally dealing with turnover). Dad truly felt seen there and cared for... which was wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about he caregivers and the administration other than that they made the experience more affordable (charging 5k a month less than others!). They gave him dignity, in a time in his life where it was in short supply. This facility was the best facility for him, that he had ever had. Sadly, when he was out of money, like many he had to go onto Medicaid. They do not take medicaid, so we had to move on. However his care here was exceptional. This would be a 5 star review, except for their care the last 4 months that my mother for, who was staying with him, and the new nurse they hired said that she also needed to be charged for care and not rent, despite them charging 7,500 a month already. Unfortunately, Mom did have some issues, but after seeing a doctor for them, is doing better. Lesson learned tho, if you're going to stay with your spouse and live with them in the facility and pay rent - you better leave the facility a lot and take care of yourself well as to not be labeled a patient. I have to only deduct one star here though because, overall some of the best memories of the last years of my father's exceptional life, were here. Thank you.

There is a large cafeteria and a small room where residents were watching old movies. My aunt's room was quite tidy, and greeting cards and other decorations were displayed tastefully. She can't decorate anymore herself, as she can't see and can't move around very well, and her family is unable to visit daily. I appreciate the work of the staff in making a home for her.

northwestern healthcare center in berea ohio is a 5 plus star facility. the staff are…read morecompassionate, skilled, empathetic and skilled from housekeeping, dietary, nursing, stna and administration. the activity director and personnel has each day full of excitement, hands on, and memory activities. residents get to meet and greet others , go on outings to shop or to eat. the occupational and physical staff department are one of the highest rated in ohio. they took an unresponsive, stomach tube, veteran. and gave him a new life. he feeds himself. walks over 800 plus feet and can brush his teeth and do daily hygiene. he only needs minimal assistance which is given when needed. they listen when he is upset and don't judge or over medicate him as was done in a previous healthcare center. this healthcare center rating should be 100 plus stars. a healthcare center that treats everyone with respect, compassion and respect. all who are a part of this group residents staff etc are vip's

My primary reluctantly complied and I was referred to Dr Lavery after seeing Dr Kelly. She sent me to Darla Schwab at Aultman North. After my first visit I was not feeling like things would go well. She did her assessment, did some therapy that really helped, but then said, "do these stretches and exercises and I'll see you in a month". A month!? After a few days my 20 year plus symptoms that three major hospitals had given up on after years of treatment at each started to subside. She is so busy that you will need to wait. and, take what she says seriously because she really does know her field like few others. I've always been happy with Aultman Dover therapy site, but if you have pelvic floor symptoms, male or female, it's worth the wait to finally be able to have something near a normal life. After a year I'm down to only seeing her for flare ups. And, now, since she is a PTD, she offers dry needling to help as well. Amen, a long time prayer has been answered.
