BTW I did let the restaurant know about the first disk, but thought I would give them a 2nd go and I'm glad I did. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was about half full. As we entered, the first thing I noticed was the pleasant decor. It wasn't at all, in your face flashy, it was very reserved. Probably trying to be all things to all people, which can be a hard balancing act. Very friendly staff. Very professional. The menu seemed very consistent with most of the other indian restaurants that I go to. I always keep an eye out for something unusual or unique, but not this time. The food itself was amazing. To me it tasted very fresh. It had slightly different spices than I'm used to. I also noticed that the menu was very slightly cheaper than what I'm used to paying which was a bonus really. I'll definitely return one day and will be sure to recommend to friends.

The Chicken Tikka Balti here tastes really authentic and is served on the proper metal rounded plates. We came on a Saturday night so there was a bit of a wait for food. The atmosphere in this place is good, brown and subdued. Day of The Raj is not a big place but it is really good which is why it's lasted so long. The curry served here is not oily at all (something that is very important to me). You get the real sense that Day of the Raj relies on local business and it therefore good.
